The tour of Santorini was excellent, however Viator needs to state that state thatave to take the cablecar up and down

The Blue domes and the need to take the cable car up and down to meet and finish the tour. Overall tour was excellent but included a great deal of walking

Our tour guide ILhas(name probably mis-spelled) was amazing. From the moment we met, his friendly and helpful nature made it a memorable and enjoyable trip. Not only did he take us to some amazing locations, he made sure we found a place for dinner given that most places were closed due to Christmas Day.

Santorini was great but whatever you do, DONT WALK DOWN, wait for the cable car, it took me 2 1/2 hrs to walk down and I was wrecked for days.

Perfect visit to Santorini

Santorini is the most difficult among all major Greek Isles to visit. Our group of 6 had to go by tender from our Oceana Cruise ship to the Island. You need to take cable car to the meeting place and then you are able to reach your ride. Our guide/driver George was waiting for us although we were 15 minutes late. He took us to all major important locations and explained perfectly the details we needed to know.. Overall we were all very happy with our tour and George’s professionalism and attention to our requests

Came all the way to Santorini for a placemat of the blue domes...as that's as close to seeing them as I got.

There were 7 of us, ages 68 to 85, one on crutches. We were late getting tendered off our ship by about an hour. Lines were long to get on cable car which made us later. Instead of meeting us on the other side of the cable car like other tour guides did and we were told our tour guide would, our tour guide made us hunt for the McDonalds. After one wrong turn, which made us even more late, we found McDonalds and our tour guide. We all needed to pee, but McDonald's bathroom was not working. We told our guide, who ignored us. We were driven to a spot and let out. I'm assuming since we had one individual on crutches, our guide decided to send us out on a walking tour of the town on our own, keeping our fellow on crutches. We were told it wasn't very far to walk, maybe 15 minutes, and he would meet us past the bus stop. We walked and walked through winding paths past many expensive little boutiques. A couple of times we had to back track, taking the wrong path. We walked for about an hour. We were tired, thirsty and we still had to pee. Our 85 year old nearly collapsed as we finally found our guide. We told our guide that was it. We wanted to get some refreshment and return to our ship. Here, we finally got to pee. I wanted to see the blue domes, but never did. Very disappointing to come all this way (a 13 hour plane flight) and not see what Santorini is famous for. As it was, we ended up waiting in a terribly long line of people to board the cable car. It was dark by the time we made it back to our cruise ship. One positive note, our guide seemed extremely knowledgable of Santorini.

We had a great tour. Chris was so easy to work with. we all have mobility issues and he allowed us to see everything we wanted to view, but didn’t require a lot of walking. Lunch venue was amazing. Excellent adventure!

Fantastic tour; our driver, George, was wonderful. He was very informative, kind and flexible. He recommended a local “off the tourist path” restaurant which was absolutely amazing; both the food and ambiance right on the beach were perfect.

Difficult time in Santorini

This tour was not a good experience for us. In fairness to our guide, Nicolas, I think he was assigned this tour at the last minute when our ship’s itinerary changed. The majority of the time was spent in Oia which could have been nice if we had been better prepared. We were dropped off by Nicolas and he expected to be able to point us to “sights” via WhatsApp including the availability of restrooms! That didn’t work well at all since we had no time to prepare for what we wanted to see or where to go. He then took us to a local restaurant which was fine. He wanted us to stay on the tour with him another hour but we chose to be dropped off back at Santorini based on what we had heard about the wait time for the cable car. Good thing we did as the line was a two hour wait. We ended up walking down to the port. Had we been later, that would have been a problem. Some of the circumstances were not in Nicolas’ control but we felt he should have been more in tune!!!

We love the guide he was fantastic. Thank you for all your help . The walk down the stairs is tremendous. The lines to go up and down the island are long due to many cruise ship. But the tour was amazing.

Nickoloas is a great tour guide . Very knowledgeable . He took us to some great places and was also a great photographer. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone and everyone. We only had one day in Santorini and we were so glad to have done this tour and learned so much .

We've had a wonderful time exploring the most important landmarks of Santorini. George, our tour guide, was an enciclopedia of knowledge, he took us to the most beautiful places for sightseeing and pictures, we wouldn't have been able to find them on our own. His extensive knowledge of Greek history made our tour a memorable one. We can't praise this tour enough, book it while it's available, you will be very happy that you did.

Give yourself 2 hours to start your tour if cruising. After getting off boat must take cable cars (or walk 300 steps) to the top and the line is very unorganized. Once the tour started it was amazing! George was very accommodating & reliable and had us back right on time. Was our favorite tour! We got gorgeous pics of churches with the famous blue roofs, did a short black beach stop with a swim, lunch at Kelly’s restaurant on the beach, Oia, and a cliff side winery.

A patient and well informed guide made for a great tour!

Since we had never been to Santorini had no Idea what to expect. My husband stood on line to get a ticket to be one of the first tenders leaving our cruise ship at 9:00am since we were meeting the tour guide at 10:00. We were the third cruise ship to arrive that morning. We reached the Fira dock at roughly 9:15. It was crazy!!! Someone in the ridiculously long line for the cable car said the line was moving so we chose to wait in line rather than walk up (we were told it takes 45 minutes on the steps). We did not reach the top until 11:00. Thankfully our guide was still waiting and extended the tour for the hour we missed. She was informative and took us to all the picturesque spots of this beautiful island.

George was a wonderful guide, showing us parts of the island that were important to us to see and moving quickly through the areas that did not interest us. Any question we asked, George knew the answer and if he didn’t he told us. We finished at a restaurant on Black Beach names Mario.one of the top 5 meals of my life. Ask for Yannis!

Our driver communicated as soon as our ship docked via whatsapp. He was waiting at the exit of the cable car. His car was clean. He was friendly and helpful. He gave us a great tour of the island. We ended our day eating at a great beachfront restaurant he took us to. It was a great day. Thank you Elias.
