After a light breakfast and then a walk into the Waterhole and viewing Rock Art it was onto the Segways for a ride around the whole of Uluru Learning about the history with a few stops along the way As a first timer on the Segway I found it easy to master so no problem if your not experienced The 3 ladies we had were all very nice full of knowledge and made our day enjoyable Would definitely recommend

Sunrise base ride…don’t miss this! No experience necessary.

Absolutely fabulous. This is highly recommended. We have ridden Segways in many places around the world. It didn’t matter at all. The other 8 in our group had never ridden. The training was EXCELLENT! They were well prepared in a short amount of time for our fun journey around the base. Be sure to bring a large container of water. They have crossbody bags to hold your container, which is something we have never seen before. It’s also handy to have a pocket or some kind of cross body or other attachment for easy access to your phone or camera when you make stops for photos. Watching the sunrise and then have the Rock change colors was spectacular. The pre-ride gathering time for coffee, tea, cocoa, juice, croissants, muffins, fruit was fun for taking pictures as the colors on the Rock changed and getting acquainted with other riders. Definitely dress in layers you can tie around your waist as the temperature changes. We opted not to purchase the fly netting ($10) because we wanted a clear view of the different colors of the Rock. About 1/2 of our group used them. We learned the flies are more attracted to orange, and red. Choosing a light neutral color might help. They are tiny flies and are everywhere. I didn’t mind just swatting at them. You can do your research as to time of day and time of year. With or without a fly net, don’t miss this adventure !!!!!

Great tour, lots of fun

Unfortunately we only got to try the Segways on the training track as it had been raining & park rangers deemed it too wet to ride them around the base of Uluru. Trying them out was lots of fun & we were able to walk some parts of Uluru & see waterholes, indigenous paintings, caves & the original departure point for when people were allowed to scale Uluru. Breakfast was yummy & we enjoyed seeing Uluru appear out of the night with the arrival of daylight. A magical sight even for an overcast day. The guides were lots of fun & very knowledgeable. We were also offered a partial refund for not being able to do the full base tour on segway if we chose to go ahead with the trip - thankyou Uluru Segway Tours.

A rude guide

I participated this Uluru Segway activity with a friend, and while the overall experience was enjoyable, I feel compelled to share a concerning encounter with one of the guides, Nick. Throughout the activity, the two female guides were incredibly friendly and helpful, enhancing our experience. However, my experience with Nick was quite the opposite. During the training session, I struggled to hear his instructions clearly and, despite my immediate efforts to rectify the situation, Nick responded in a manner that was not only rude but also unprofessional. Instead of offering assistance or understanding, Nick raised his voice and proceeded to blame me for not following his instructions, even though I was doing my best to comply. This interaction greatly impacted my mood and overall enjoyment of the activity. As a tourist and paying client, I believe it is unfair to be treated with such disrespect. I am sharing this feedback not only to express my disappointment but also to prevent others from experiencing similar treatment. If Nick treated me in this manner, it raises concerns that this may not be an isolated incident. I hope that by sharing my experience, the management can address these issues and ensure that all guests are treated with respect and professionalism in the future.

The 5:15am pickup is a little rough, but well worth it to see the sunrise. Plus doing the full tour around the base before it gets too hot. Charlie, our guide, was amazing. She added so much with the stories and her enthusiasm was incredible.

Sunrise on Segway : it was spectacular and fun

We started off with a light breakfast overlooking Uluṟu during the days sunrise .Moving to an area closer to Uluṟu to undergo our Segway training. Once everyone felt confident we started on our journey around Uluṟu with our wonderful guide Charli .Charli shared animated stories and information about specific locations and landmarks, she was a wealth of information and knowledge, teaching us a lot about the area. The best part was riding the Segway as the sun rose for the day , it was so much fun , such a great way to experience Uluṟu. We were worried about difficulty but it was super easy and fun , people of a variety of abilities could easily do. The day was eventually a 42 degree day but due to early morning adventure the weather was cooler during our ride , as we rode a breeze cooled is down . It was a great way to start our day. Only disappointment our partners couldn’t join us due to weight restrictions , which seems low as many taller , heavier built men could miss out. But we revisited with them on sunset and repeated the learning we’d learnt from Charli . We had the best time and loved every second, Thankyou Charli and her assistant Phoebe for making our visit to Uluṟu very special.

The best way to see Uluru rock

Great experience made more fun as the tour guide also told us a coyple of dreamtime stories. This was like an all in one tour as simple breakfast was provided and we also saw the rock during sunrise. Highly recommend if you are short in time and flying out the same day. Even otherwise I suggest you do the rock base tour via segway instead of walking. There are plenty if walks that give you more variety if you like walking. All in all a great experience.

Best way to see Ayers rock

What a great way to see Ayers rocks. Up close! Chris our guide was great. Segways were great fun. We saw quite a few ppl walking around the rock and they did not look too comfortable. It's hot! By doing the segway it allows you to get around in a timely manner, whilst getting a breeze and being able to get out before 11am when the heat gets crazy!!

Fantastic Segway Tour!

This was an awesome trip! They picked us up right when and where they said they would. We had a nice breakfast while watching the sunrise. Then, we made our way to the segway warm-up track, where they taught everyone how to ride a segway. If you've never done it before, it's quite easy to learn. You take a short hike to a watering hole, and then you set out on the segways. You ride all the way around the base of Uluru, learning about the cultural significance to the Anangu people. It's a beautiful ride and the tour guides (Nick, Charlie, and Sam) were extremely knowledgeable and interesting. I highly recommend! One warning: They say you will arrive back at the resort at 9:45, but we did not make it back until 10:20. It didn't cause a problem for us, but please be aware of this, as it could affect you.

The whole experience was fantastic! Sunrise viewing with coffee and muffins watching Uluru change colours as the sun went up...the crew were friendly and accomodating...they went through training with everyone in the tour until we were all confident and stable on our segways. The tour around the base was amazing! We get to go around and stop at significant sites to learn about the history without getting tired, while having fun! That was the highlight of our tour!

Uluru was stunning and majestic and was wonderful to experience by segway. I picked this activity as you saw the sunrise and completed an entire loop of the base. The temperature can be very high and a segway is way more comfortable than walking. The instructor was hilarious (Chris) I appreciated the practice track.

Spectacular Kings Canyon

Great day out at Kings Canyon with great & informative guides Michelle & Rob. We did the rim walk which was spectacular to see the canyon from up there. Other than the extreme heat on the last leg I would recommend doing it, just take the recommended supply of water.
