An incredible experience!

Hailey was a fantastic tour guide who was knowledgeable and engaging. The walk is fairly fast paced - it wasn't an issue for my husband and I, but if you have trouble walking at a fast pace then one of the Uluru highlights tours might be a better option for you. It is incredible to see Uluru up close and definitely a must-do!

I reckon most people have seen pictures of Uluru on several occasions, however being there and actually seeing (and from a few spots actually touching) "the rock" it something very different. Most amazing experience, which I for sure will never forget. The tour guide Hayley was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to, and since this was a small group tour, many questions could be asked and answered. I loved the morning breakfast and all in all very well organised trip.

Illuminating Base Walk around Uluru

Really enjoyed the walk around the base of Uluru, despite the very early start .. tho it does get so hot later, you definitely need to start early. Pete was a very knowledgeable, informative and fun guide, and knew a lot about the aboriginal culture & beliefs.

Had a wonderful walk around the rock. Our guide who's name escapes me, she was very informative and considerate of others setting pace of walk to suit the slower walkers. Tha walk it self was easy and we had plenty of time to look and explore the rock.

Michael was an awesome tour guide!! Very knowledgeable, engaging and a great story teller!! The walk was very early, long and hot but well worth it! The views and the commentary about Uluru was so interesting. Make sure to wear big nets-the flies are numerous!!

Uluru full base walk a wonderful learning and awe-inspiring experience

The full base walk of Uluru was a wonderful experience. It was a relaxed walk with lots of time to focus on the varied views on the 12km trek. Our SEIT guide Bea was very knowledgeable, told great stories of the history, geology and beliefs of the indigenous explaining how they viewed the monolith and what it meant in their lives. It wasn't just a walk but a learning experience and great way to appreciate Uluru.

Full base walk is a must at Uluru

To truly experience Uluru, full base walk to stop and smell the roses is a must thing to do. Take in the views, plants and wildlife at a good pace. It’s an easy 12.5km flat hike. In the hotter months do it before it gets too hot during the day.

Beautiful early morning walk. You will see the other side of Uluru and raising sun in the desert. Our guide Georgia was very nice and very knowledgeable.

A poor walk around a spectacular rock

The rock is spectacular and worth visiting. The walk is about 10 km and very easy. There are flies, so bring a fly net for your face. For 1 person 1.5l of water are sufficient if you start in the early morning. The pick up by SEIT was on time. The sunrise at the rock was unspectacular. The guide ran around the rock as if he wanted to establish a new record. He permanently preached not to take fotos as these were sacred sites. I do respect aboriginal culture, I undertook the effort to travel around half of the globe to come here and I paid hundreds of dollars to visit the place. So I was quite disappointed. There was not even time to look at the caves and different erosion structures. Also there are only very few benches and tables where you can put a backpack to put something in or take something out. There is just nothing but the dessert. The breakfast (some hot water, juice, cookies, milk, fruit) were handed out in a bag that you have to carry. The thing was just a nuisance constantly banging against my thigh. When we arrived at the sites where fotos are allowed they were already very crowded with people. It would have been much smarter to go clockwise to beat the crowds. Overall I would highly recommend to do the tour on your own. People went at their own pace taking fotos where they liked. It can easily be done without getting lost our injured. It is certainly the better, more enjoyable and cheaper way to see the rock.

Our guide Mark was outstanding. He was knowledgeable and passionate. The toilet facilities were poor and third world. Only one about a third of the way around. The breakfast could have been better. The walk was amazing.
