Overview

Glide above the ancient city of Marrakech and the rugged valleys and crags of the Atlas foothills in a hot air balloon on this sunrise flight package—that includes the chance to help inflate the balloon. Besides door-to-door round-trip transfers, your package includes tea, coffee, and snacks on arrival, and a Berber breakfast after you land. Really well managed and organised! Such a beautiful place wit bonfires and tea + croissants when you arrive. We got picked up around 5:00am at a nearby spot from the hotel (communicated via whatsapp) The balloonflight was safe and impressive! Afterwards a nice mini buffet with breakfast items. Definitely a bucket list experience

This experience was a 50th birthday treat and it really fulfilled all our expectations. We were greeted with a coffee and pastry, then the safety briefing. It was really exciting watching the balloon inflate. Any initial fears were instantly dissolved as our pilot had everything under control, such a smooth take off and landing ! It was fascinating to hear she is no.2 in the world women’s hot air ballooning. She even played the happy birthday tune for me on the gas cylinders. The sunrise was stunning . Couple tips - go to the bathroom before you leave and wear something warm as it’s chilly that early in the morning. Also great communication from head office .

Such a lovely couple! I hope their business goes from strength to strenght, everyone including our driver to the guys who made breakfast and the ones who helped with the balloon couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome and enjoy the experience! Thanks to Agna for being a wonderful pilot.

Incredible experience which started from when we arrived to see the camp with the welcoming fires. Watching the balloons inflate around us and then taking off was a magical experience. The views were incredible and we saw the sun rise over the mountains with other hot air balloons around us. Our pilot, Mattieu gave us a running commentary and was very skilled landing us back in the exact same place we took off from and my husband helped to deflate the balloon which made his holiday. We were then ready for a fabulous Berber breakfast. Definitely recommend!

The pilot Mathieu is humorous and experienced, we enjoyed the flight very much - they are sensible with space and don’t overcrowd the basket. Breakfast was great too. Just a note, most tourists will be staying at Riads where cars cannot access - that this tour will NOT pick you up/walk you from the Riad, they will say that the guardian from the Riad can send you to the pick up point but note that this is illegal in Morocco so guardians are very hesitant to do so. If you’re a solo-female traveller, do take into account that you’ll be walking in dark alleys at 5am to the meeting point. Save for this lack of clarification and the driver arriving 20 min earlier and calling to rush us, it was a pleasant experience.

This was a great experience, nice and calm experience with the hot air balloon, great service and the breakfast after was nice. This is a good alternative to see Atlas Mountains and a beautiful sunrise if you have people in the group who have trouble hiking or walking Atlas Mountains. It’s an early start though!

Hot air balloon at sunrise

First time in a hot air balloon and we're really enjoyed it. It's an early start, pickup 4:45am from our hotel. The driver was right on time. The drive is only about 30min from Marrakech. At arrival we're greeted with local tea/coffee around wood fire to keep us warm that early in the morning. After instructions and observing balloons being prepared for the take off, we're up for about 45-60min in the balloon, that's more than enough. A little bit packed like sardines inside the basket but that doesn't affect views. Seeing sunrise and 10's of other balloons around us was amazing. The pilot took us 1,000m up before gentle descent and landing. Breakfast was served afterwards, not much choice but it was good. We're back to our hotel by around 9:30 and still had all day to explore Marrakech. Would highly recommend this, especially if you've never experienced a hot air balloon
