Do do if you have 2 Hours to see the city centre

My guide was very nice all perfect considered that I booked with a very short notice. It is anyway a quick tour of Amman market and with a local you discover more than alone. I did not give 5 stars because price is too high.

A great introduction to downtown Amman

Orwah is a very affable guide and his passion for his city shines through. This was a great introduction to downtown Amman, to the smells and tastes that the city has to offer, to the stories of the people who live here and their hospitality, for which they are rightfully renowned.

Night market bazar

This is a very nice walking tour of the night markets in Amman, i requested the guide pic us up at our hotel and he was very accomidating, i paid for the taxi to the market and on our way back he negotiated the cost of the taxi and we had no problems getting back to the hotel. I would not attempt to do this activity without a local guide, he gave us so much insight into the local flavour and culture. Cant go wrong with this tour.

We enjoyed a fast-paced tour of the very interesting downtown markets. Our guide did point out the main archeological sites (Citadel, Theater, Nymphaeum, etc), but we didn't have time to visit them. Perhaps a somewhat longer tour than included these cultural sites would have been better, for us at least. I do recommend this tour if you are staying at an apartment and want to buy some amazing food to cook!

A highly educational appreciation of way of life in Jordan

My wife and I enjoyed the private walking tour of the old downtown very much. We learned lots about the history as well as the way of life amongst the communities of locals as well as residence from Palestine, Yemen, Syrian, Eqyptian, etc calling Amman home. It changed my perspective from what we often read in the media and Jordan is safe!

A Great Tour for your First day in Amman

I think this is a great tour for your first few Days in Amman. Not only do you learn about the modern life of Jordanians in Amman, Orwah was great to tell you what you can do during your stay in Amman which is why its not only a great way to learn during the tour but also plan what you can do during your stay in Amman after the tour as well. Orwah was extremely hospitable and very informative as well as having a great sense of humour which will keep you laughing throughout the tour. Definitely recommend this tour!

Great tour and helpful intro to Amman & Jordan

My daughter and me had a great tour with our guide Orwah. He took us to different nice and interesting places, in and outside the markets, and had great stories and lots of information to share with us. Orwah also shared a lot of helpful tips and tricks for our stay in Amman, like local negotiation techniques. Orwah is a clear enthusiastic communicator, very knowledgeable and on top of that a very nice guy. I highly recommend the tour itself, but als a nice intro to Jordan/Amman while it can make you further stay more easy and fun. Thx Orwah

Not worth it at all

Highly, highly! overpriced tour through markets. No historical sightseeing or information as advertised. Although local manages to give you some insight into local customs through visiting the markets and local shops, it is not a good experience. We wanted the local insight into the city and not the markets. Plus be prepared that tour guide will you he has to live off your gratuity and tip. So paying usd 46 p.p he gets nothing from and you tip a lot on top.?!. Please don't treat tourists like milking cows only, that's rude and respectless in many ways . Better to go to the citadel or other places

thank you for taking the time to write your feedback, as it's mentioned in the tour description, the guide shows you shortcuts to visit historical places like roman theater and Amman citadel, the tour is more focused on the cultural aspect of the city and give useful advises for exploring the country overall, usually we advise our guests to visit the historical places after the tour by their own to take the best of the tour, and for the rate you paid, it includes all food samples along the tour and the guide. Usually guests show their appreciation when they're happy with the tour and give some tip to the guide, that doesn't mean it's a must.

Enjoyable Overview of Downtown Amman

It was an enjoyable experience. My guide was well-informed about the city and history of Jordan. I did have a misunderstanding based on the description of the tour, I thought we would actually enter the Duke's Diwan. I also thought I might have time to purchase a few things, but the tour is set up more to give you an overview of the area. I enjoyed the walk and was happy to have a guide since I was on my own that day. I was not taken back to the beginning area of the tour at the end, but it was better to be done near the theater anyway. That might be a change that should be made in the description. Overall, I would recommend the tour.

I had the pleasure of doing the walking tour with Orwah. It was a great introduction to Amman on my first (full) day in the city. He showed me many of the great shops and markets, I tried delicious food, and was given tips on navigating about the city. Highly recommend this tour for anyone’s first time in Amman.

This was a short and sweet tour in Downtour Amman. Abed was a lovely guide who also happened to have a connection with India. He took us to the main points in Downtown and shared some interesting stories about the history of Amman. The highlight was the sampling of the street food/sweets and Abed's wonderful company. I highly recommend this hidden gem of a tour.

A Let Down

I am not one to generally give poor reviews, and I realize that COVID has turned everything upside down, but this was probably one of the most mis-represented tours that I have ever been on. Our guide did not share any history about the city of Amman, nor the country of Jordan, and when asked questions I don’t think he really knew much about where he lives. He did take us to the Jordan museum, but never shared any information - just had us walk through and read. His English was OK, but offered little information. Our guide was one hour late for our pick up time, which caused us to have to cut the tour short because of our schedule. It seemed that he wanted to take us to food places, but this was not a food tour. Took up much time. On the plus side, what we wanted to see was flexible, and we were able to reschedule because of heavy rain. It seems after reading the reviews that only a guide named Ibraham does a good job. I recommend you ask for him, and see which days he is available, because our guide was a disappointment. We did get to see some interesting places, but didn’t get to learn anything about them.

thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. with more than 10 years in this field, we have experienced several similar situations where clients were having bad times arranging their own trips, flights and other activities especially those who are in a business or work trip like your case, having said that we regret to be a side of your own trip mis-planning, our guide has personally informed us that all important topics have been professionally covered including information about the city history which is the primary element of the tour. we usually give time and space to our clients inside museums, and that's exactly what our guide "ibrahim" did. it isn't fair for other clients who plan to visit Jordan to read such a personal and vindictive comment based on zero facts. eventually i think it's sarcastic knowing that the guide who you complained about in the beginning is the very same guide you recommended in the end "ibrahim".

Ibrahim was a great guide in Amman. He had a lot of local knowledge and excelle t English We explored all the markets and tried local produce. He also helped me buy a SIM card and souvenirs which was very much appreciated.
