Hard to find stops

It was good once we found the stop to get on! We had a hard time figuring where to get the bus, and they are not allowed to post signs. It was ok when we finally did.

Awful experience! Waiting for buses and boats too long. Narration was uninteresting and repetitive. The bus was an oven, SO hot upstairs and hardly any of the windows were operable. I have used Hop ons in all cities, would not recommend in Amsterdam.

Directions to take the hop on and hop off busyservice was not given as a result of which we walked all round the central station area asking people if they knew where to take the bus from. and it was so cold windy. Please make sure proper directions are given for passengers as to where one has to board the bus

Bus was clean and booking was easy. Audio presentation was poor in that it left out a number of important sights. Driver did not communicate that there would be several 15 minute stops (central station and diamond factory). Save your money on this tour.

Let’s talk about un memorial. The recording did not always match up to where we were, traffic might have caused that but a live person would know not to talk b4 we get to a spot. Also I was told we would pass the Anne Frank haus, something I was looking forward to but we did not. Drove apologized after for misleading me, but did not make me feel better about missing it.

Had a difficult time trying to locate the hop on spot for the canal boat. The bus driver was not very helpful. Once we walked and walked we did find the last boat out so did not get to use it a lot.

Very underwhelming. No live “guide” pointing out the sights, only the canned tape (which is understandable because of the different languages to choose from. However the tape was always behind the actual sight. Passed by a windmill and the narration was 20 seconds later. Also, toward the last part of the drive the driver was loudly talking to someone at the front of the bus, drowning out the taped narration.

We had a very difficult time finding the dock to meet the HOHO canal boat. The app we were given was not precise so we wasted an an hour trying to find the boat. We never did see a bus. Once we got on the boat, all was well and the captain was very helpful with schedule information.

Definitely worth including the boat and bus. Highly recommend trying to get on an early boat when the canals are quieter. Lots of places to hop on/off for both the boat and bus. However the audio needs to be updated to reflect the memorial which has been erected not just mentioning the gardens. The in memorium is definitely something to be seen. Boat round trip is two hours without getting off whereas the bus is about an hour.

The river boat was great, the skipper was very informative & a lovely way to see the city. The bus was also good after the meeting place was located So for those looking - its at the front of the Amsterdam Railway Station Look across the road for white buildings with flags out the front - that’s it! Good value for money..can recommend
