What To Expect

Kick off with morning pickup from your Athens hotel (private tour option) or from the meeting point near the Acropolis metro station (small-group tour option) and head directly to the Acropolis. Avoid a delay to enter with skip-the-line tickets and enjoy free time inside to take in the Parthenon and other highlights inside this ancient site.

Next, move on to the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Panathenaic Stadium before the scenic drive to the top of Mount Lycabettus to take in the view. After a stop to admire the ancient Agora, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and Academy of Athens, take a break for lunch in the Koukaki neighborhood.

Your day ends with a choice of visiting the Acropolis Museum or Natural Archaeological Museum (tickets own expense) or enjoying free time to shop and sightsee in the historic Plaka neighborhood before drop-off at your morning meeting point.

We has a terrific day with Vil (Vasilis- sorry on the spelling). He was very accommodating and knowledgeable. It was a wonderful day. They accommodated our pickup at the Port and drop-off at hotel. Definitely would recommend.

We saw all of the significant sights in Athens plus a memorable tour of several other parts of Athens. We weren’t rushed and our driver (Michael) explained everything along the way. He was so knowledgeable and so helpful and courteous. The lunch was authentic and delicious and it included a carafe of homemade wine! The car was beautiful and very clean and comfortable.

Great way to spend the day! I recommend paying extra to have the guide in addition to the driver. We enjoyed being able to learn more about each spot having the guide along with us. The lunch spot was just okay - would never go back or recommend to others. You could tell it was a tourist spot as there were many other people around us eating there while on tours.

To begin, Elias was an excellent host and driver. He was always courteous and made sure I knew what I was about to experience. My wife planned to join me but she was unable. Elias kept asking during the morning if we could go back and get her. The Acropolis was the highlight of course. But I also enjoyed the history of the Agora. The view from Lycabettus Hill was spectacular. Lunch was a delicious souvlaki with salad and baklava. The changing of the guards was unexpectedly interesting. All in all, it was a most enjoyable day made even better with a pleasant Elias as my guide.

Our Tour Guide Sunday. Not the Day Sunday. I Just Want to make it clear his name is Sunday. Because if you are fortunate to get Sunday as your guide it will make your experience here in Greece Amazing. He was spot on to pick us up but we were the ones that weren’t quite ready to go, but he was very patient and professional. It is a little pricey but me and my wife both felt it was worth every penny. We had a Great time being driven around and learned so much more than we were expecting from Sunday. This is one vacation we will never forget.

Nasos Type R Our driver was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were able to visit all three of the main attractions in Athens in one day and he was able to avoid the crowds at every location. I would recommend trip to any one that does not have a lot of time to spend in Athens so you can hit all of the major sights!

Corinth, don’t miss it. Ancient ruins, great museum, stunning landscape, no other tourists and you see the parts of Greece that are not Athens. It’s a drive, but our guide entertained us with stories and you come away with a better feeling for the country. The Ionian Sea and the connecting Corinth Canal are amazing.

Amazing Athens in a Single Day!

Tess was a great guide! He took care of all the arrangements, including tickets for each site, and provided enriching details and stories as we navigated the city. We were given more than ample time to walk around each site at our own pace and never felt rushed. His vehicle was comfortable and he provided bottled water and lunch as part of the package. Tess also allowed for modifications to the itinerary and because we scheduled the tour on a Sunday, he was able to squeeze in a stop at Syntagma Square and Parliament to see the weekly parade of the guard. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. We would recommend Tess and Olive Sea Travel without hesitation and will definitely book with them again!
