Immerse in ancient Greek history on a private sightseeing tour of the Acropolis. This exclusive experience is an opportunity to go beyond what you get in group tours: You can ask as many questions as you like. Book a walking tour of the Acropolis; upgrade to add the Agora of Athens or the Acropolis Museum; or opt for a half-day city tour by vehicle. Entrance fees are at your expense.

  • REDUCED MOBILITY. We want all our guests to fully enjoy their tour in the most comfortable way possible. If you have reduced mobility or can only walk for short distances, we request that you let us know after booking since there are various measures we can put in place to reduce the time you spend on your feet.
  • WHEELCHAIR USERS. For wheelchair users it is necessary to have an able-bodied person accompanying. Please let us know after booking as there are various measures we can take to make the tour most easy. It is also possible to extend your tour time on request. If choosing our City Tour Option with Transfers included by vehicle, please let us know. Our vehicles can accommodate folding wheelchairs only and are not fully equipped for disabled use.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Fun and fascinating!

We had a wonderful time on our tour! Valia was so fun, knowledgeable, and energetic. I felt bad for all the visitors to the Acropolis who didn't have her as their private guide through the history of the region, the peculiar personalities involved, and the modern history of the site up to the present. She took her time and walked us through everything, and we gobbled it up. She had answers for every question, and she was full of recommendations for things to do, eat, and see during our short time in Athens. It was the perfect way to see this incredible site. Thank you!

We had an amazing private tour of the Acropolis/Parthenon and the museum as well as a brief overview of the city of Athens with a few stops on the way to the cruise terminal. Our guide and driver were top notch, knowledgable and willing to go the extra mile for us.

If You're Not Taking This Tour, You're Missing Out Lots of Context

I could not have asked for a better tour. Betty filled the walks between sites with fun facts and historical color. She was friendly, and a darn good photographer. I did a little bit of research about the Acropolis and the museum before I went so I could have some color, but I should have saved myself the trouble because Betty shared everything I'd read and then some. Seeing these wonders was magnified by hearing the history and context. She even pointed out several things I would have completely missed had I gone guide-less.

Betty, our guide, was very well versed in the history of Athens and did a great job. It’s a long hard walk up the Acropolis, but it was certainly worth the time and effort. Betty really helped us understand the significance of the important sites we were seeing.

Having such a knowledgeable guide (Vicky) to lead you through the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum was definitely the way to go. It would have been very difficult to get all the perspectives and background information on your own. We were so fortunate to have a private guide that was not only able to provide invaluable incites, but also one that was very personable. We were able to see the acropolis and museum at our speed. Our guide was charming and very helpful. Overall my wife and I agree that our day at the acropolis was one of our most memorable. Some of this is the acropolis itself. But the guide , Irina helped make it a great day.

Vicky was an outstanding guide: extremely knowledgeable, friendly, went at our pace (age range of our group was 11 months to 74 years, with one pregnant mom.) Made the visit to the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum so meaningful. Enjoyed it immensely.

Betty was amazing, she had the most interesting information and history of the Acropolis and was able to show us many things that people just miss. These kind of tours are important to take it all in, and really understand what you are looking at. I don't think there's a chance there is a more experienced guide up on the hill.
