Alex was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the tour and had tremendous insight on the many aspects of the Acropolis and Parthenon. He was thoughtful and careful with the path to keep everyone safe. Highly recommend him and this tour!

Our tour guide was nice enough BUT he was soft spoken and had a difficult to understand accent. This was an English tour and many of us had great difficulty in understanding him. He did not provide headphones which made it even worse because of the crowds. He spoke far too fast. Almost everyone complained. And do not believe that this will be a “beat the crowd” time of day. The Acroplis was mobbed. Finally, it was 50.00 each and didn’t even include tickets into the Acroplis. The fact you have to buy tickets isn’t very clear and most of our group didn’t have them to start. There were 15 of us on the tour so 750.00 for a 1.9 hour walking tour? We considered it a rip off.

We decided to book this small group tour of the acropolis because it said it would be more private vs other options we saw.
While we were supposed to be a group of 8 based on sign ups, we ended up being a group of 20+ because we had to combine with another group that was unable to go in the morning due to rain. The tour ended up being good thanks to Maria, who was very knowledgeable and did her best to accommodate everyone.
However, I was disappointed that we paid for a small group tour and ended up with more than twice the size we were promised. Our tour guide was not the loudest speaker so it was hard to hear at times. And who could blame her when she was expecting 8 people herself. Because of the group size, we weren’t able to get all of the information unless crowded really closely together.
Good tour but I’m shocked there’s no company contingency plan for situations where groups get cancelled due to weather, which I assume happens somewhat frequently. If you’re paying for a small group tour, you should get a small group tour.

The tour had 3 families, 2 with teens and 1 with 3 kids ages 7-11 roughly. The tour guide altered the tour to keep the kids entertained, which I would normally appreciate and commend. but the 3 youngsters were very precocious, took it for granted they would be the center of attention and asked a lot of questions that were meant to show off how much they knew already. they even tried to correct her when she referred to someone as a god when they were “really only a demi-god.” The parents were thrilled at the attention their kids were getting and did nothing. They kind of hijacked the tour from the rest of us a bit. there was a point where I thought she had indulged them more than enough and it would have better if she had reoriented the talk to the teens and adults a bit more. Otherwise i liked the tour. She stops at several points on the way up to explain different ruins and let you catch your breath. And she was good at finding shade. The tour ends at the top so you can wander in your own and take photos and head down on your own time.

Nikos was a fabulous tour guide. So incredibly aware of people around him, his audience and was super knowledgeable. He also made everyone feel included even though I was traveling by myself. This tour was one of the best I have ever experienced in a place so rich with history. It was even better in the late afternoon to avoid massive crowds and the heat of summer. I would HIGHLY recommend this option.

Great, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide who really explained Athens history and how the structures at the Acropolis were part of that. Definitely less busy to and more enjoyable to do a tour in the afternoon. Highly recommend.
