The description of the tour was very misleading on the Viator app. We were expecting a tour of some bars and getting to taste some cocktails. With that said, our tour guide was very knowledgeable, kind, thoughtful, and energetic! He did an amazing job with our tour!

The description of the tour was very misleading on the Viator app. We were expecting a tour of some bars and getting to taste some cocktails. With that said, our tour guide was very knowledgeable, kind, thoughtful, and energetic! He did an amazing job with our tour!

Our guide Dimitris was very friendly and knowledgeable. We went to a locals area and tried 3 different appetizers and drinks typical to Greece. I highly recommend this tour as it’s different from other tours.

Dimitri was a wonderful tour guide. I truly enjoyed him showing us a less touristy side of Athens. The drinks and food were simply amazing. Dimitri provides a wealth of information regarding highlights of Athens and even offers suggestions of restaurants or bars to visit. Thanks Dimitri for making our first night in Athens incredibly memorable!!!

Guide didnt even show up. We waited at the meeting point for 40 minutes. Texted and called the guide to no avail. Absolutely unacceptable. They obviously refunded us the fees but what a massive disappointment.

My friend and I were looking for something to do on our last night in Athens and, so, we booked this tour the night before. Based on all of the 5-star reviews of the tour, this seemed like a no-brainer. We could not have been more wrong. We left this tour feeling duped, cheated, and just plain shocked. In our opinion, it was a complete waste of time and money, and we did not receive the tour as advertised. First, our guide (Dionysus) appeared completely disengaged and uninterested in the tour as a whole. We had to keep asking him questions in order to keep the conversation flowing and, even still, we all sat in awkward silence here and there. So many other reviewers mentioned great conversation, learning about the history of the neighborhoods or Greece, generally, but we did not experience that. Second, the tour advertised visiting 4 bars or pubs (or receiving 4 alcoholic beverages) and the opportunity to try typical "mezze" or bar snacks. I'm not sure, but I don't think the snacks the bar brings to every patron's table when they order a drink or food (think nuts and popcorn) qualifies as "mezze" or typical Greek bar snacks. Our guide only ordered food at our final bar (calamari and fried cheese), which was great, but we were expecting more of this at the other locations. Third, we only went to 3 bars and received 3 alcoholic beverages, not the 4 as the tour suggests. The suggested itinerary or "What to Expect" on the tour's website could not have been farther from what we actually experienced on this night. Finally, at those 3 bars that we went to, our guide did not order drinks for himself to join in with us, which is perfectly fine. But then, he sat there staring at us as if rushing us to finish up so we could head to the next stop. Overall, the tour felt very hurried, not relaxed, and we felt like we were a burden on the tour guide -- that he just wanted to finish up and go home. He mentioned that he was hosting a different tour the next morning, but that's hardly an excuse for the poor service and tour we received. This was absolutely not worth the expense and, frankly, we wish we could have gotten our money back. We were really hoping for this to be a fun, last evening in Athens but, instead, we were very disappointed with this experience.

I typed the directions into google maps and was taken the wrong way. However, our guide Kabalan picked us up and my wife and I had an awesome experience! Took us to some amazing food places and then we ended up hanging out after the tour and going to a hookah bar. Couldn’t have asked for a better night in Greece! Loved it!

Absolutely amazing! Yurgos met us at our stop and we were off! We were able to sample beer, wine, liquors, cheese, and more all while he gave us some great stories and history of the place! These were all restaurants and bars in an area we would have never found on our own we were truly the only tourists at each location. This was a trip highlight and I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get a real authentic experience of life in Athens

Just arrived in Athens and within a few hours bar hopping in Koukaki with our tour guide Dimitri. DImitri met us at the station and brought us to 3 bars in the quaint little section of Athens called Koukaki, where the locals go. Only tourists here was us! Love the out door seating and the last bar with the wall of heads...Dimitri was super friendly and very knowledgable about the people country and politics. Very eager to please! Night ended and the metro closed down unexpectedly and he out us in an uber back to hotel. Thanks Dimitri hope we meet again sometime! GEIA MAS!!!!!!!!!!
