Tour drivers are not licensed to companion you inside the archaeological sites and museums. If you'd like to have one, we can arrange it for you at an additional cost. Licensed by the state tour guides are freelance and it is subject to availability on bookings day!

Too bad it was self directed and not With a tour guide

The driver was great. The only negative was that once we arrived at the sites it was self directed With No tour guide

Our driver Alexander communicated with us well. Time changed due to the heat wave as outdoor locations were closing early. He picked us up at the cruise terminal and helped my mom w/ her walker (and the car was clean, nice, and air conditioned!). We went by the best highlights of Athens! We were able to enjoy the museum at our own place, communicating with Alexander via WhatsApp. Then he dropped us off at our hotel. I highly recommend this tour!

Our guide was Peter and I would highly recommend selecting him for any tour! He really knew the history and how to navigate the city and the crowds so that we could see the absolute most of his beautiful city. We all felt like he gave us the perfect day in Athens. He took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch and we convinced him to eat with us where we learned even more of Athens. We received personal attention and care. Perfect day!

The best way to see Athens

My group of 8 friends were on a Greek island cruise. With one day in Athens to see everything, we did not want to be on the usual bus tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We saw the Acropolis before the crowds and enjoyed a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant.

Our driver Chris was new to his role so info was not always correct. We realized after booking the tour that it did not include admission or a guide for the Acropolis. We bought tickets on-line the day before but Chris was unaware of where we should pick-up the tickets so that delayed us somewhat. It was also too late to book a guide (none were available at the entrance). It really didn't matter that much because the place is packed (almost dangerously so). Following that, we went to the museum which is a "must see" then went to Plaka for lunch which was very enjoyable.

Buyer be ware Caveat Emptor! A bit misleading, i thought it was a full day private tour of Athens and what it is is a private driven tour to the tourist spots in Athens Wish i had this one to do over George our driver was great .

Six of us went on this tour in May...

Six of us went on this tour in May and were a little disappointed. Our driver was polite and professional, but in reality he was more a chauffeur than a tour guide. He drove us to the various sites, but then simply dropped us at each for us to explore on our own. With this being our first time in Athens, we were expecting more. We likely would have been able to accomplish the same using taxis and spent less money. If you are looking for a dedicated car van for the day and don't want or need history or background on the city or sites, then consider booking this tour. However, if you're actually looking for a guided tour, look at other options.
