Great quick view of Austin. Jason was great, if a little fast on his delivery. Also a little heavy on all the dozens of bands and singers he admires.

The title says it exactly. It was our first time to Austin and we learned a lot about the city and its highlights. The commentary was excellent. It didn't hurt that the weather was 80 and partly sunny!

    Shirley_S, Apr 2024
Wonderful tour filled with so much information about Austin. Jason added his personal anecdotes which made it that much more memorable! We got there early and Trey accommodated us with an earlier tour. Mike was a great driver. Slowed down so we could enjoy the sites! After we enjoyed a lovely lunch at Moonshine. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Austin!
Great to start your visit and get a lay of the land

Great at giving you a review of the city so you can plan out your adventures. Bring an extra layer if you ride on top in the morning. It can get surprisingly chilly.
    The tour guide was...
    Jeffery_R, Apr 2024
The tour guide was awesome. Overall a lot of history given. I was just put in a negative mood from the start because we got there 1 hour early cuz your staff member said the tour was sold out and folks compete to get the good seats on the top of the bus. We wanted to sit in the very front so we stood in the sun for almost an hour to be the first. People started to line up behind us as it got closer to time. At 3:52 an employee came up to the end of the line and told everyone they were moving the pick up spot down to end of street which made people at the end of line first and we were last. There was some lady ahead of us in the tour whose entire party wasn’t there yet and she was asking every employee about where her friends could get on and holding up the line to get on the bus. The entire line was getting annoyed with her continuing to talk to the guy checking us in and then again to the bus driver etc. by time I got upstairs there were miraculously two seats left in the front so we went to sit on them. Nope…the lady was being allowed to hold them for the friends who never showed up. So that’s why no one else ahead of us took them first. Tour staff should not have allowed saving of seats. Then throughout the tour that same lady kept interrupting the tour guide to ask him where we were stopping next so her friends could meet us. She’d literally interrupt him mid sentence and then he’d engage with her in a discussion about where we were stopping next etc. he should have just said if they don’t make the beginning of the tour they don’t get on. For safety reasons. We ended up having to sit all the way in the back of the bus and everyone back there was getting annoyed with this lady and the guide not shutting her down.

Hearing about the African American man who was originally denied law school entrance and Thurgood Marshall defended him and he got into law school. Best piece of history for me. University of Texas was awesome.
