What To Expect

Greet your guide at Sant Jaume Square, in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. From here, you’ll stroll to the training area to get acquainted with your state-of-the-art Segway. The self-balancing machine proves incredibly easy to get to grips with; take as many practice runs as you need until you feel confident maneuvering your self-balancing Segway.

First, glide through the Gothic Quarter and admire narrow alleys replete with grand architecture and wrought-iron railings. Pass the Church of Le Mercè and the Post Office headquarters before arriving at Port de Barcelona, to hear of the area’s radical transformation.

See, too, Port Olimpic, host to the 1997 Olympic Games, and capture photographs beside Barceloneta Beach, with its alluring coastal curve and tropical palm trees You’ll also slide through Parc de la Citadella, a spectacular outdoor space home to fountains, monuments and palaces.

Your tour concludes at your original departure point.

Minimum age to join a tour is 12 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that by city laws the minimum age to ride a Segway is 16 years old. For underaged riders we provide e-bikes suited for children (price remains the same).
Minimum weight for Segway riders is 45 kg (100 lbs) and the maximum is 117 kg (260 lbs).

Helmets are mandatory, we have all the sizes. A training session will be given so that every rider has enough skills to drive in the city. This activity is forbidden for people under the influence of alcohol, drugs or strong medicine.
Valid I.D. or passport is required at the time of the tour (a copy is also accepted).
Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. Comfortable shoes and clothing are recommended. In case of rain we provide raincoats, nonetheless, we recommend guests to bring their own. In case of severe weather, the option of an alternative date and time convenient for both parties will be given.
Please note that tours start and finish on time, so we require all participants to arrive 15 minutes before to check-in and practice.
Please note that routes may be altered due to interferences in the itinerary outside of our responsibility.
The main goal of our tours is to show you the most sights, views of the city, and special places hidden from the eyes of outsiders. We try to do it quickly and easily, in a convenient form of travel for guests. Saving your time, we do not include entrance to museums and other buildings in our tours.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 18 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Fun but wish there was audio

Fun intro to Barcelona streets and sights. Very easy to use. Wish the guide had audio as we didn’t know what we were passing etc. A couple of stops to take pictures.

Hello Wendy. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your Barcelona experience! It's understandable that having audio guides would enhance the tour. While it's unfortunate that using speakers or headphones on Segways is prohibited in Barcelona, there are still plenty of ways to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the city. Perhaps next time, you could try a walking tour or use a mobile app with audio guides while exploring. Your feedback is valuable for improving the overall experience, and I'm sure you'll find new ways to make the most of your adventures in Barcelona!

Had a wonderful time on this tour. Segways are fun and what a great place to try it out with all the beautiful things to see! Philip our tour guide was great! Very informative. Very helpful. I had trouble getting up the steep curbs and he made sure to help me through all of them!

We had a great time. Just my husband and me on the tour so our tour guide (Ivan?) tailored the experience to ensure we saw the things we most wanted to see. He was very knowledgeable and provided a relaxed two hour personalised tour. Would highly recommend.

This was such a great experience. Our guide Ivan was brilliant and knew a lot about the city. He showed us the waterfront, part of the gothic quarter and the park and old fortress, along with lots of stops along the way to explain things we were seeing. Highly recommend this as a tour and as a great way to get oriented with the city and learn about its history.

We booked for 13 hens and we’re all really excited! You get a little tutorial before you start and you are given a helmet and off you go. The majority of our group enjoyed the tour but a few of us really struggled, segwaying is harder than it looks and Barcelona is a very busy city so to navigate round on a Segway. I would say this tour is best for young fit adults who are not easily scared. Overall we had a great time and the guides were patient. Be warned if you are using google or Apple Maps you will get lost using the address on the viator app. We luckily received a message from our guide prior who helped us find the spot.

The Segway was super fun. It made me want to know how much segways cost so I could buy one for myself. It takes some courage and getting used to, but eventually you get to a point where you can practically control it with a thought. The guide, Ivan, was really nice and gave interesting insight into Catalan history. The places he took us were interesting and he allowed you to select which parts of Barcelona you wanted to see.

Ivonne was an amazing tour guide! Made us feel very comfortable on the segway, let us choose our route, and was knowledgeable and entertaining when stopping at the sites. Ivan is a very knowledgeable tour guide and knows every corner of the city He took us through áreas you will never pass bye if you don’t take this tour I was in Barcelona 6 years ago for a week and stood very close to some of the places Inbisitoed in this tour which I never saw before. Thanks Ivan Try to make better mal from the metro line 4 to the tour office. It was a bit difficult
