What To Expect

Begin your hop-on hop-off sightseeing tour at any of the conveniently located stops on the east or west routes, and climb aboard the distinctive double-decker bus to start exploring Barcelona.

If you’ve chosen the 24-hour pass, you’ll have 24 hours to explore; if you’ve chosen the 48-hour option, you’ll have 48 hours from the date of validation.

Disembark the bus as many times as you like and then climb back aboard at any of the stops on the interconnected routes. Listen to informative audio commentary—available in multiple languages—as you glide through the captivating capital of Catalonia.

Take the east route to see stunning Gaudí structures like Sagrada Familia, Milá House (also known as Casa Milá or La Pedrera), and Park Güell, and admire the impressive Port Olímpic and Catalunya Square.

Hop on hop off was typical. Unlike other cities, like Madrid, the bus finishes the service around 6:30 pm or so. Too early. The catamaran tour was nice. This was in a one-deck boat. Somewhat crowded.

Great way to spend a day in beautiful Barcelona

The bus was a great solution to seeing Barcelona in a day. The audio guide was very clear and the complementary head phones were comfortable to wear. Our favourite part was getting off the orange line near the train station, and walking down to the harbour for a seaside lunch. We then walked along the beach and caught the green line to see the other side of the city.

We signed up for the catamaran trip along with the hop on/hop off bus trip around Barcelona. There were not very specific details on how the catamaran trip worked and what time the catamarans ran. So needless to say we missed the catamaran part of the tour. The bus tour was very good and organized. The buses ran every 10 to 15 minutes so very convenient to “hop off/hop on”.
It is a starting and guiding tour on the next visit to Barcelona’s attractions.

This was my first visit to Barcelona, so the bus tour opened my eyes and my mind to all of the incredible architecture and impressive natural beauty. I truly enjoyed exploring so many of the different neighborhoods, from the Mediterranean to the mountains above Park Guell.

We really enjoyed the tour of Barcelona. We did get one driver that did not drive safely in our opinion. He drove too fast, ran red lights and stopped too quickly. We just hopped off his bus and caught another.

I found out that even though my ticket said "with optional catamaran, " it was not included and I had to pay for our tickets on the catamaran. We really enjoyed the catamaran but I think that Viator should make it clearer that it is not included with the ticket.

So easy to hop on and off! We got to see all of Barcelona’s iconic places in comfort. The stops were so close to all of the must see places in Barcelona.
Hop-On Hop-Off Best Way to See City Sites

The bus is a great way to see the highlights and to help you decide where you would like to continue your venture. For the most part all the important sites were along its route. However, for our trip there were two or three stops that seemed unnecessary with hardly anyone getting on or off. Also, for the stop that included Park Güell we were dropped off many blocks from its location with no directions on where it was. We spent over 15 minutes looking for the right road to take.

Excellent. Meeting point easy to locate and our tour guide was outstanding. Even though it was extremely busy, our guide kept us together and found space for us to view. The basilica is beautiful.

We use the hop on hop off buses in almost every city we visit, it is much less expensive than taxis and allows us to explore popular attractions and things nearby. I was really excited about their 48 hour ticket, we had a short trip so it was a perfect way to spread out our days. The only thing I was really disappointed about was the tour advertised a free guided walking tour of the gothic quarter. Since we weren't going there for specific sites and unfamiliar with the area I thought this would be perfect. Typically, these tours you tip at the end and they are handled by locals. When we finally found the meet up location we had our names on a list (you used a QR code to get put on a list) the women in charge asked us for payment. We said it was included in the hop on hop off tour and showed her on the map where it stated it. She said they no longer honor that and we would have to pay for the tour. I probably would have paid but she was rude about it. I tried speaking to someone at the hop on/hop off place and they had not answer either. We explored the quarter ourselves and that was fine but I think they need to correct this as it seemed to be a common problem based on the guides reaction.
