What To Expect

Meet your guide, a professional sommelier, and begin your afternoon walking tour of the city. There will be no more than six people in your group, so personal interaction is guaranteed.

Set out to explore two lively neighborhoods, Sant Antoni and Poble Sec, which many tours neglect.

Begin by admiring the historic buildings of Poble Sec, well known by locals for its great variety of pintxos, a food tradition from northern Spain.

Marvel at the recently refurbished Sant Antoni Market, a beautiful food and flea market with origins that date back to Roman times.

When I travel, the food has to be an authentic experience and it is hard to research where the locals go. I loved this tour for many reasons. First, Niko, the guide was super informative, charismatic, and knowledgable. I learned so much about Barcelona in general but definitely about Spanish wine and food. Second, I loved Poble Sec and Sant Antoni neighborhoods. It was a great change of pace from Gothic, El Born, Las Ramblas. These were two great neighborhoods that were not touristy very relaxed. Third, the food and wine pairings were perfect. A food tour where I literally couldn’t eat another bite. I was very full by the end and tried ALL the local dishes like Pinchos, as an example and the wine pairings were not just a sip. I loved this tour and recommend to anyone who is looking for an authentic, local experience. Thank you, Niko for a great memory!

Such a fun night! Our sommelier Romano was amazing. Romano made great food and wine pairings at each restaurant and helped explain region & taste profile of each wine. I certainly feel like I left this tour with more knowledge on wines but also some new friends. The small group format was very nice to get to know other travelers and try interesting restaurants off the tourist path. Romano did a great job catering to a variety of palates in our group, and adjusted wine selections throughout the evening to best suit each person. Romano clearly knows his wine and is passionate about good food. This tour was an absolute pleasure. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide was very kind but did not have the experience needed to give this tour. There was plenty of food and wine to consume. The quality of some of the tapas served was mediocre. The cheese, tuna, and spinach dishes were excellent. Going to a ham shop and not getting ham seemed odd.

Our small group of three was lucky enough to get our tour guide/sommeliere, Moa, completely to ourselves for our walking tour on our first day in Barcelona. She was extremely knowledgeable about the many different types of Spanish wines we tried and wasn't shy about her pours. She introduced us to many different tapas dishes and even arranged for us to have some Vermut at one of our stops when my brother mentioned he was curious to try it. Our tour took us on a lovely little exploration of the Gothic Quarter. I highly recommend this experience!

Great wine, great guide, great food

Had a fantastic time trying wines and eating at various local restaurants with our tour guide Romano. He was clearly well versed in everything wine and provided an extensive background of Spanish wines which I really enjoyed. As wine novices he still made us feel very welcomed and provided a lot of useful tips for us. Additionally he purposely picked local restaurants that had exceptional quality without the tourist crowds. Highly highly recommend!

Lovely early evening walking tour with Romano, the sommelier. He was a great guide - very patient with all my questions, and clearly a wine expert. We sampled five different wines and varied local tapas in four different restaurants. Definitely no need to have dinner afterwards - we were stuffed ! Great start to our Barcelona weekend.

Absolutely incredible experience. Our guide, Moa, was far more than a guide. It was like having dinner with an old friend. Each restaurant the conversation was better and the food was even more immersive. I cannot say enough good things. She gave us the recommendations we needed for the rest of our trip. If you are considering this tour, book it at the start of your trip!! We built our plans based the real recommendations we needed. No tourist traps. Just good and real food. Ask for Moa. You will have an amazing time!
