Time to wander needed

Great informed content from tour guide but need to give people time to wander around on Omaha beach for example not stand in one spot listening for 30mins before heading off

We have done many tours. This was one of our favorite!! Pierre was fantastic!! He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. My father landed at Omaha Beach in November 1944 as part of the US 84th infantry on his way to Bastogne for the Battle of the Bulge. If you’re not already a Patriot; you will be after this tour! We saw everything we wanted in the 4 hour excursion. Take the tour and ask for Pierre!

Pierre was an outstanding guide with vast historical knowledge of D-Day and WWII. He had great stories, especially about the Ranger mission at Utah Beach. Everyone in our group was thoroughly impressed by Pierre and to top it off, he was as nice as he could be!
Disappointed- choose another tour

This tour was so disappointing. There were long stretches of silence in the car when commentary/comments would be appropriate. The guide’s voice was too soft making it difficult to hear - after asking several times for him to speak louder he did not. So, the little info provided was very difficult to hear-perhaps he needs a microphone? This tour did not stop at the iconic spot on Omaha beach where the sculpture is located - our tour drove by the area while other tours stopped. So, after looking forward to & scheduling our Bayeux trip around this tour we were very disappointed. In addition, other tourists in Bayeux had very positive experiences with their tours. Our tour was through Bayeux Shuttles scheduled through Viator. I highly recommend scheduling with another tour operator.

Favorite spots: Pointe de Hoc and American Cemetery Very disappointed in the overall tour, especially the stop at Omaha beach. Our guide did not take us to Memorial (The Brave-statues in the beach) as we were told it wasn’t part of this package. I showed the guide the picture. The other party that was with us expressed the same thing. As for the guide, we had asked several times they speak up, yet our request went unheeded.

This tour was exceptional! It was quite an experience seeing the beaches & cemetery. Our tour guide was awesome & van was very comfortable. We wish we did the all day tour but this 1/2 day tour gave us a great overview and was informational.

This tour was everything we could have asked for. We had plenty of time at each site we visited to pay our respects and our tour guide was amazing. We learned so much from Pierre and he was able to answer every question we had. Highly recommend this tour!

The 225 rangers that climbed the cliffs. How well the German defended Omaha Beach. The American Cemetery was beautifully kept to honors those who sacrificed their lives.

A excellent brief tour

We had a wonderful experience with Marin as our tour guide. We were pleasantly surprised to be the only four people on the tour. Marin was very knowledgeable; asked and answered numerous questions that were appropriate for our family (two adults and two teens). She gave us guided time, as well as plenty of time to wander. It was a short tour, but a very moving experience.

Normandy Invasion and Liberation of France

Marine was so knowledgable about the events of WWII and the Normandy Invasion. She made our tour perfect by sharing information and allowing us to spend time experiencing the sites and memorials. I felt very proud to be an American and proponent of democracy for all.

My family of 4 had a great experience on our half day tour of Normandy! Marine was a great guide, she is from the area but spoke perfect English. We left right on time and saw 3 highlights- pointe du hoc, Omaha beach, and the cemetery. At each stop our guide pointed out important things then gave us free time to walk around. We debated full day or half day tour- for our teens half day was perfect! We took the train from Paris in the morning and had a couple hours to walk around the town of Bayeux before the tour. Bring layers- it can be very windy!

Decent short tour. Left and returned right on time. Tour guide spoke good English and had great knowledge - would have liked a bit more info on sites - like showing us inside bunkers and pointing out details. Else it was a nice tour.

We had a great experience with our tour guide Romarine (Roma). She was very knowledgeable and took time to answer questions and show us little extras along the way. Her visuals were great and helped explain things to see exactly what and where she was talking about. She got us to the cemetery just before flag lowering and that was an awesome, solemn sight. I would do this tour again to learn more and go more places and I would love Roma to be our guide. She went Above and beyond her call of duty

A great half day tour with Juliette!! She had amazing stories to share and gave us time at each stop to explore on our own. Our train connection from Caen to Bayeuxwas cancelled last minute and we were worried we’d miss the tour altogether, but the team and Viator offered to pick us up at our last stop - an accommodation we were incredibly grateful for.

I never could have gotten such details of the D-Day invasion by just visiting on my own. Worth every penny to have a professional guide! Morgan (our guide) was amazing. We felt relaxed, not rushed, able to ask questions...such a pleasant experience. She had large maps of the planned attack, what tactics worked, and what failed, and personal stories of some of the men who landed on D-Day. Loved this tour and our guide!!!

Our tour was great! Our guide, Charles, had so much knowledge about WWII. He shared lots of stories and photos and did a wonderful job explaining the history. He answered all of our questions and had a great sense of humor. This was an excellent trip. We would definitely recommend this tour to others.
