DON’T MISS THIS AMAZING TOUR
nhawran, May 2024
My husband, a history and WWII enthusiast couldnt say enough or praise our guide Guilamine(spelling) enough after a very full day of visiting just about every important place that was significant to the Normandy Invasion. We were all especially interested in the fabulous series The Band of Brothers and he took us to see the chronological advances the Easy Company went through and even bringing in facts from the Longest Day. We looked under bushes for hidden bunkers, we went to the American Cemetery, we were all somber walking on Omaha beach and we visited the towns that were so very involved and affected by the battle. I think we were in awe of our guide’s personal experiences with veterans who came for the many memorials and celebrations. He gave us so much on a tour that was so important to us. He made it very much real to us who only know about it from parents and grandparents who rarely talked about the war. Guillamine was the best guide who gave us his all to an audience who very much appreciated his knowledge. There just arent enough words to praise him and this tour. If you get William, you will be fortunate!
Don’t miss Ben’s tour!

Band of Brothers

Fantastic tour with Guilliane who is so knowledgeable. It was a very cold and windy day and he went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable. All the sights we visited were explained in detail.

There Aren't Enough Words...
Scott_M, Apr 2024
My teenage son and I went through Band of Bros and Saving Pvt Ryan before making this trip. It's rough material, but I wanted him to appreciate the sacred ground we'd be trodding. Antoine was an amazing guide: having grown up in Bayeux, with an intimate understanding of local culture and of Allied soldiers, and attention to detail in stories shared. I cannot say enough good about this tour. It was over 8 hours of very well-spent time. Antoine took us through the Airborne museum, sharing personal tidbits along the way that gave us the highlights rather than getting bogged down in the display minutiae. From standing on the beach, to the bunkers of Pointe du Hoc, to the fields of Brécourt Manor, every stop was full of detail and seemingly fresh memories of those fateful first days of the invasion. For those concerned about logistics... this is a very full day. There are stops that include bathrooms (the cemetery, etc). We brought a bag with water and light snacks to grab during stops. Lunch in Ste-Mère-Église is more than sufficient; there are plenty of cafes, etc. Our transport was an 8+1 van and was comfortable. Coastal weather can be unpredictable. In April, we brought jackets and ponchos for the forecasted driving rainstorms, but needed neither with sunny skies!
Packed Tour
John_D, Apr 2024
This jam packed tour is about 10 hours long so if you are only casually interested in World War II, this is not the tour for you. If you are like me and many others and are very interested in the stories and some of the unsung heroes, then this is your tour and for me the time at the American cemetery was too short. I returned by bicycle the next day and spent a couple more hours exploring the welcome center there. The tour is more generally about Normandy the beach landings, and not specifically focused on Band of Brothers. You learn the stories of soldiers you’ve never heard about and the things they did during the beach landings. The afternoon of the tour carries you to some of the highlights and locations around Utah that are specific to the HBO series band of Brothers. This balance is what I really wanted and our Australian hat guide did not disappoint. Looking back I would have liked to spend some time in Carentan and spending more time focused on the route and stories of coming into the town. The reality it there is only so much time in one day.
Incredible!

Just how detailed Guilliame told us about Dick Winters and the band of brothers, the beach landings, the 2 medics in the church helping Allied and German soldiers ,Point du Hoc, St.mere eglise and the story of John Steele, the museum at St Mere Eglise.Guilliame was excellent and gave us great insight to the tour.

A Tour Not to Be Missed!
Robyn_P, Mar 2024
One of the best tours I’ve taken! Ben was our guide for the day, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. He shared stories and details of WW2 that kept us captivated and impressed the entire day. Ben came prepared with maps and photos that helped create an authentic image of the days leading up to and after D-Day. From bunkers, to villages, bridges, and fields, Ben brought to life historical events that you only read about or see in a movie. Highly recommended!
Highlight of a week long WWII and D-Day vacation
Scott_H, Mar 2024
Guillaume was a fantastic guide! He knew his history and the local area and told us great stories and provided a lot of insight into the events of D-Day and Band of Brothers events. It was very cool to actually walk in the footsteps of the 101 506 from the Band of Brothers mini series and actually walk through and view the field where the assault on the guns at Brecourt Manor took place. He was very accommodating, answered all our questions and was flexible with some of the other members of the tour. This was the highlight of our D-Day vacation in France.
First class
Deborah_R, Mar 2024
Remy was an incredible tour guide, gentleman and historian. Wow, his knowledge was incredible. If only I had experienced teachers like him at school ! I have learnt so much, and cannot recommend this tour highly enough. It was a long day but Remy’s telling of the D Day invasion totally held my attention from start to finish. The stories of the lives, experiences and sacrifices of these young men was told with such respect, and accuracy of detail.
