Overview

Combine a Polynesian cultural experience with an adrenaline-fuelled ATV ride on this unique tour. Hop aboard your own ATV or ride in a UTV driven by the guide, and set out on a fun 2-hour route, following forest trails and country lanes. Stop along the way at a series of villages and discover the rich history and heritage of Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, and Hawaii as you take part in traditional activities and learn about Polynesian culture.

PLEASE NOTE THIS ACTIVITY IS ON THE BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII. THIS IS NOT OAHU, MAUI, OR KAUAI. Look for the our sign on Mamalahoa Hwy. Once you see the sign, go up the paved road to the parking lot on your right.

No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
You must be at least 16 years old to drive a single-rider ATV

Those who are 3-15 years old OR who do not want to ride their own ATV will ride in the UTV with the tour guide as the driver. An adult may accompany the child, but the tour guide will still be the one driving.
Children from ages 3-17 require parent or legal guardian to be present.
Closed toed shoes are mandatory, long pants are recommended
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your tours start time. If you are LATE and miss the safety instructions, you will NOT be allowed to ride an ATV and will be put in the UTV with the tour guide.
Please note we are on the BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII. This is NOT, Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Molokai, or Lanai. Hawaii is broken into more than 1 island!
If you are over the age of 70 and have never driven an ATV we recommend you ride as a passenger in the UTV.
This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Absolutely loved the experience . Definitely worth the money. This was our first time doing atv and both tour guides were so helpful & very patient. The historical tour was extremely fun & very interesting . Our tour guide was hilarious and made us laugh. My favorite part of the tour was the pineapples. They were so sweet & delicious. I would definetly recommend this tour to anyone .

This was fun! We had our 17 yo son with us and he was able to drive his own ATV. There was a small group and 2 guides. I’m not an experienced ATV driver but the trails were not too difficult to navigate. There were stops along the way with cultural info and snacks.

My wife and youngest daughter 17 went on the tour and rode ATVs through the outdoors. It’s adventurous but not to extreme. Be comfortable with dust, dirt and open to having a good time. We worn shorts and T-shirts but were ready for a shower when done but loved the trip

Great ride on the ATVs! We found it to be a little pricey for what it was, but it was a fun experience. The guides were amazing and it was neat to learn about the native ways. Cool interactive games and activities along the way!

Disappointing ATV Tour

The description for this tour is VERY misleading. The villages that we visited was a makeshift hut where the tour guide cracked open a coconut and offered the coconut water to us. There was a lot of idle chit chat before getting back on the ATVs. We then rode about another 10 minutes to a 2nd hut where we played a game, and again to a 3rd hut, where another game was played. Overall, we may have been on the ATVs for about an hour. The majority of our time was spent at these huts. The overall ride is about 3-4 miles round trip on a trail that was cut through the trees. There are no scenic views except for the trees. If you are looking for a true ATV tour that includes actual riding on the ATVs for most of the tour and include scenic views, then this is NOT the tour. If you want to ride for about 15 minutes at a time, get off the ATV, play games and listen to stories, then get back on the ATV and don’t again, then this is your tour. Everybody’s definition of a tour is VERY different. In my opinion, what we experienced is not a tour. It was a waste of time for the money that we spent.

The is a Polynesian Cultural tour with scenic views. Each stop is highly interactive and you learn about each culture at your stop while engaging in fun learning activities. Depending on the weather on the day of your tour you are able to see beautiful ocean views, the coffee farm and mill, and the many different varieties of plants and trees that grow in our jungle including rainbow eucalyptus, koa, and ohia trees. Everyones description of beauty is different and we feel our property is gorgeous and breathtaking. This is not simply an ATV tour. We hope the rest of your vacation was less disappointing! It was so fun the people that rode with us were so fun. We weren’t a wild group I think it’d be fun to loosen the rules a little bit on the atvs but I understand of course.
