Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Jerry was such an amazing tour guide! Words cant express how truly awesome he was with us. Jerry was soooo patient with us and our picture taking. He knew all the best spots and recommended great places. He kept us safe and was patient in explaining the safety mechanisms of his machine. He stopped to show us historic and scenic spots while explaining the importance behind them. He was great at communicating. Would definitely do again and recommend. Bonus, he let us rinse off the dust when we got back. Wonderful family, him and his wife.

A blast of an experience with great views.

This was one of, if not the best experiences of my life! My wife and I did this excursion on our honey moon and it was absolutely a blast with amazing views! I highly recommend to others.

The historical information about the area, scientific & geologic data about the olivine and background stories about lava tubes, sea turtles, monkeying, etc. Jerry, you really made it an extraordinary day for us, mahalo!!!

Fun, windy, back side of green sand beach

This was the most anticipated of the 4 excursions we booked!! Highly recommend wearing the dust mask and goggles at all times as soon as you start the ATV and even covering ears with the dust mask as it gets SUPER windy and the sand in any facial opening doesn’t feel good and is hard to get out later. Jerry and Sarah communicated thoroughly with directions on how to find them and how to drive the ATVs. If you want pictures of yourself at different places, just ask because they may not offer but they’re happy to do it! Way too windy to eat lunch at the green sand beach in my opinion and I washed my whole half hour there to be full of exploring, enjoying, and photographing, so maybe just water and a protein bar until you can eat lunch after?

The ride was fun! Loved seeing the green sand beach. Our guide was great. She gave us information along the way and made sure we had break time, if needed. The small group was so nice, almost like a personnel tour.

The green sand is definitely memorable but most memorable, is the fact I got to experience this with my wonderful and loving wife. If I could offer any advice for anyone considering this trip, it would be this. Put ear plugs in your ears, not so much for hearing protection but more for keeping sand out of your ears. Also wear a bandana over your nose or a covid mask to keep the sand out of your nose. If conditions are dry you're sure to get ears and nose full of trail dust since you'll be following the tour guide on the trails. Flip flops or sandals are NOT recommended for this tour. Otherwise, it's a great time. Enjoy yourself.

What a great day! Jerry is an excellent and patient guide who clearly appreciates the natural beauty of the island and respects the land. We were a little nervous since we are not very experienced riders but because this is a private tour Jerry was willing to go at our pace and let us get comfortable this made the entire experience more enjoyable since we didn't need to maintain the pace of a larger group. Jerry was able to share a bit of the history of the southern part of the island and how it is evolving today and showed us some locations that you can only see on this tour. It is absolutely worthwhile and a great way to explore a part of the island few get to see!

Small tour, laid back guide, see the real green beach and a lot more

I've been on the big Island about a month, and decided on this tour late into my stay, wanted to see the green sand beach and ride an ATV (I like to ride motorcycles). This tour was great. First, it's small, two quads and a guide. Other tours are bigger, like 12 people. Once you drive these roads, you'll get why this is better. Second, if you read the fine print on other tours, you don't actually go to the green sand beach but the green sand "cove." You really want to see both. Finally, the ride is leisurely, you don't have to have a lot of experience riding, it's really a nice way to spend a day. You stop in the green sand cove, on the volcanic cliffs where you will see sea turtles (sea was a little rough, so we only say them swimming but on a warm, clear day, I hear they come out on the rocks) and of course, the green sands beach. The quads are newer, well maintained, more utility quads than performance machines but that is what you want on this trail, which can get a little rough but easy on these ATV 's. Easy to drive and with lots of room for two people and to strap your backpacks. My opinion, if you want to see the green sand beach and a lot more, this is the way to do it. Sure you can drive there and walk, or pay $40 to stand in the back of an old pickup truck driven by a local who probably hasn't started shave yet, or you can do this. Read all the fine print on the few ATV tours to this beach, I think this one is probably the best.

The hosts supplied EVERYTHING needed for the ATV experience. Sarah was a great guide. The vista was outstanding. And the green sand beach did not disappoint.

The ATV is a fun way to get to the green sand beach. Fun off road trail leads to the beach. We had about 30 minutes to enjoy the beach. There is some hiking to get the beach. But beautiful beach to visit.

Jerry was an amazing guid full of information from start to finish on this excursion. The ATV’s and gear were well cared for. There were frequent breaks to see natural sites. Including lava tubes we climbed in and out of. Green sand beach (this is a hike probably not suitable for younger kids because of the extreme slope to get up and down to the beach) We spotted a couple of whales and stopped at a couple of points that the view of fish and lava landforms was truly stunning. We did pack a light snack. Bring plenty to drink Jerry does bring extra water to fill your water bottle with. When done Jerry suggested a lunch spot which was 10/10 amazing. I HIGHLY suggest; sunscreen and long clothes during the ride. Just put swim suits under clothes. I thought I was pleasing my husband’s need for adventure doing this excursion but I am hands down amazed with the entire experience.

This tour takes you to places you cannot reach by car. It was our first adventure on an ATV and our guide was excellent and very informative. It did not disappoint. Highly recommend! You will need water and you will get dirty🙂

Our ATV tour guide, Jerry, was super knowledgeable of the area and took us to the most incredibly stunning areas we’ve ever seen. Jerry shared history of the island while taking us on a fast paced ATV adventure. I’d highly recommend this private tour for a small group, it was a highlight of our vacation.
