    Happy memories of an amazing New Year in Bologna were enhanced with our fantastic wine tasting experience with Filippo. He took us to quaint wine bars, which we would never have found and tasted the most delicious wines. His personal service was so friendly and he is superbly educated on different wines. We would recommend this to anyone.

    Felipe was so informative and fun. Not only did we learn about regional wines he showed us around Bologna. He also set up a visit to a winery the next day that was fabulous
    Relaxing wine tour in Bologna

    We had a great time on our wine tour. Our host was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. He took us to several of his favorite wine restaurants and we got to taste some of his (and our) favorites! He explained how the process varied for different selections. We met some great people from Canada and overall it was a great experience! Highly recommend!

    Filippo was fantastic. He was great at explaining the process of wine making in the region and about Bologna in general. We were able to try 4 different wines from the region at two different locations. Would recommend to anyone who is traveling to Bologna.

    The tour guide was very nice and spoke English very well. There were Italian people on our tour as well, so the guide was able to converse with them as well. The wine we sampled was all locally produced, which was nice.

    Filippo was brilliant. He introduced us to local wines that we never would have selected, and fully explained the differences in the vinification processes. His sommelier training was to the fore.The locations he used had plenty of character. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

    We had a very relaxed afternoon with Filipino, he’s a highly knowledgeable and interesting sommelier who introduced us to the history, background and techniques of some superb local wines, the tastings were all very different and made us wish we had longer in Bologna to try more !! Highly recommended.

    Filippo’s obvious passion and knowledge about wine and Italian wine in particular made the Downtown Wine Experience a highlight of our two weeks in Italy. My wife and I would highly recommend anyone with an appreciation of wine to take advantage of this experience.
