Not to be missed experience

We absolutely LOVED this tour. Valentina was a wonderful guide who not only told us about the significance of the food we were eating, but also shared lots of facts of the city itself. All of the food was delicious and well timed. We loved the experience so much that we booked another similar experience in Florence. My only wish is that Valentina could be our guide there as well. She not only answered all of our questions regarding the tour but also was available to us to give us recommendations and insight into Bologna culture. She is a gem.

This was a fabulous experience! Well worth the time to learn about Bologna while enjoying the special places and tastes that were chosen for us. Marta, was an OUTSTANDING guide and teacher!! I need to indicate however, that I did not know that we had paid for an additional drink pass. I did not sign up for it but it obviously was added to our cost. I am very disappointed that this was done without my knowledge and I would appreciate reimbursement for that added cost. The extra drink pass is NOT needed for this food tour since wine is already included at the main stops.

What an excellent tour of Bologna tasting many of the local specialties. Beware- each sample is a full sized portion - so be mindful of what you eat beforehand! What a feast we had touring Bologna city and learning about foods and their origins. The tour finished with a well earned Gelato. Highly recommended. Our tour guide MARTA was very good and brought the city and its customs to life.

The food was amazing! We loved the tour, the explanations and the eating! We were taken to some gorgeous places, tried 2 types of typical fresh pasta, made on the premises, then beautiful mortadella in warm focaccia, then bolognese cutlet with Parmesan cream sauce with a glass of wine, finally gelato of our choice. Needed no dinner that evening!

Our tour guide was amazing! We enjoyed the night meeting other couples and experiencing not only the food of Bologna but the culture of the other couples too. The night was spent leisurely enjoying each restaurant we went to with no rush to eat and go. I would highly recommend this tour.

Being able to go into one of the best pasta restaurants in Bologna (Sfoglia) without having to queue I expected to see more of the fresh buying for locals not just walk past them. I thought we would see some pasta being made or meals actually being prepared with more about the culture of food in Bologna given how famous it is for food. Our guide was lovely and did answer all the questions we had and it was quite a nice size group
