Great app!
Sandie_D, Apr 2024
We had a great time! The app was easy to use, and knew by gps where we were and guided us along. We could pause and stop for shopping, food and drinks, and then continue on our way. We would definitely recommend!
Interesting but not easy to make it work

Nice and Interesting but not easy to make it work. I didn’t have the time to listen to all of the tour. So I am a little disappointed.
Great for touring Boston
Karen_M, Apr 2024
Full Boston experience! Enjoyed the commentary as we walked the Freedom Trail. We didn’t expect to see so many sites and walk through so many different neighborhoods.
Great option for going at your own pace and making a day of it.
Bianca_H, Apr 2024
Great to be able to do at your own pace. Cheaper option to do on your own with a good depth of information on the tour and at times a funny quote or statement throughout. My only comment would be you need to pause sometimes when walking between monuments or roads as the audio can be a little fast. We only had to do this a few times but for slower audio walkers you will probably have to do it more often.
Great Comprehensive Tour!

Overall, I really enjoyed this experience. It was a great way to experience the Freedom Trail at my own pace. I was able to spend more time at the locations I wanted and to speed up through the sites that I was less interested in. The good thing is that this was a really complete tour, but on the other hand, it was a bit long. It did take about 3-4 hours to go through the whole tour. I did end up rushing through the last few stops. Nevertheless, I did get a really good sense of the history and had a great afternoon. One caveat: I did go on a busy Sunday on a holiday weekend, so there were a lot of people out and about. To other people watching me, I looked like a guy staring into space, but in reality, I was listening to audio through my headphones. Nevertheless, it was a fun solo experience and a great way to see a lot in Boston in a short period of time.
Great historical and entertaining

Amazing Experience

This was such a fun and informative adventure for me! I got to my business trip half a day early so that I could explore on my own. I had never been to Boston and was excited to walk the freedom trail. I didn’t know what time I’d be able to arrive, so I opted for this self-paced audio tour which was also the most affordable option. It was a great experience, despite the rain! I walked nearly the whole trail with time to tour King’s Chapel (45 minutes for full tour, $10), the Paul Revere House and Museum (self guided about 15 minutes for me, a highlight, $6, great gift shop at the end), and lunch at the Chipotle that now occupies the Old Corner Bookstore (not the best food/service but very cool to eat at a historic site). During lunch I turned my phone off to save battery. I highly recommend bringing a portable battery. The app definitely drained my phone quickly. I couldn’t finish the trail because my phone was nearly dead. I had a chance to charge a bit at lunch but when I turned my phone back on the tour didn’t remember where I left off or automatically detect my location. I called for assistance and they answered instantly and explained how I could select a site to begin with in the app! The customer service was fantastic. I didn’t get lost with the great instructions. It was very informative and entertaining. I loved the music while I walked. I’m so pleased and highly recommend, even when traveling alone. Thank you for a great experience!
Fantastic but app issues
Brad_S, Oct 2023
Loved it all in terms of the actual tour itself, the audio, etc. I love how it links up with GPS navigation. The only reason I'm docking it a star is that they really need to get this figured out. In terms of the apps. You have to download two separate apps. Create two separate logins. And then it's very hard to find out what experience code is so I had to call customer service. I literally looked everywhere inside both apps and my emails to try to find that code. Cost is amazing, but again I can't imagine others not having the same issue as me. I am tech savvy. So that's the only thing I can think of that needs to be worked on.
Best ever

It was great! Not confusing to find land marks, and the audio was so descriptive and informative! I got a welcome text from the owner of the company who gave such amazing i strict ions and have a phone number incase I needed help!
Do it!!

Tremendous bargain. The tour was informative and well guided walking around town. Minimal overhead getting started
So glad we chose this!
Donna_M, Oct 2023
The app worked great. Only took a few minutes to learn how to use it. We enjoyed being able to pause it & stop to explore or grab lunch or a drink. We would do an audio self-guided tour again. The info presented was just the right amount.
Sunny walk on the Freedom Trail
Jeff_E, Oct 2023
The download and use of the app for the tour was very easy and straight forward. We really appreciated that we could stop and start the tour on our schedule so we could spend more time at a location or stop for lunch at the Warren Tavern. Be aware that at least for me, even after downloading the tour, it did use up most of the battery on my phone. Have a portable charger as a backup just in case.
Start Where it says to Start
Steve_S, Oct 2023
Great experience, but you HAVE to start at the beginning, not the end like I tried to do. The app dropped a couple of times, but we were able to get it back with a little effort. Very informative and interesting.

App worked well! Was a little clunky getting started, but called and got some help selecting the app and activating the tour. I suggest you have a couple of spare batteries for your phone. Using the GPS and navigation used the internal phone batter by the time we got to the Corner Book store. Would recommend this for a self guided tour!
Go at your own pace
Roxana_S, Sep 2023
I loved being able to go at my own pace solo! Only downside was it ducking up a lot of my phone battery. But I should have brought my extra charger with me.

Loved the tour of the city. So much amazing history! I went into all the museums along the way and spent my whole day on this tour.
It's ok...
James_S, Aug 2023
Clearly the recording was done by someone who was walking the route as many times we found ourselves both ahead and behind on the recording. Volume was also rather low
Incredible amount of walking.
Jean_P, Aug 2023
Somehow I neglected to finalize the on and off bus tour and could not secure one on the day we scheduled for the Freedom Trail. So, we took the walking tour. At the start it was interesting; however, the street people and the heat of the day wore me out. In the end, I was not up to it.

Great note! The Freedom Trail is over 3 miles long, and during a hot Boston day, that's a lot :). We do have a shorter version of Downtown Boston with the Cradle of Freedom, Sam Adams and Paul Revere's graves, the Kings Chapel, The Old South and much more, that tour is called "Historic Downtown Boston Freedom Trail" and it's only 1 hour long, maybe that was a better fit :). Have a great day!
