Boston’s original “frightseeing” tour is an evening of fear and fun. Climb aboard the Trolley of the Doomed for an experience unlike any other. Uncover Boston’s darkest secrets and hear the stories of those lost souls who many locals believe still wander the streets and alleys of this historic town.
Learn about some of the city’s most sinister characters, from Albert DeSalvo, better known as the Boston Strangler, to Jane Toppan, aka Jolly Jane, one of the most prolific serial killers in American history.
Walk through two of the oldest burial grounds in Boston, including Old Granary, the final resting place for many notable Revolutionary War-era patriots like Samuel Adams, John Hancock and Robert Treat Paine, plus Paul Revere and the five victims of the Boston Massacre. Also, visit the site of the biggest grave-robbing scandal in New England’s history.
Come with an open mind and see if any ghosts appear. It’s a ride on the dark side.

A:This tour is rated PG-13 and is not intended for young children. Due to the loud noises, children under the age of 6 are not permitted. We use haunted house-style moments, historical facts, and creative storytelling throughout the tour.

A:Food and drinks are welcome. However alcoholic beverages are not allowed under any circumstance for the safety and comfort of all of our guests.

A:Service animals are the only animals that are allowed on board the trolleys. Animal species other than dogs, emotional support animals, comfort animals, companion animals, and service animals in training are not permitted.

Very entertaining and educational tour! Probably not for children as some items discussed were fairly graphic, but husband and I enjoyed the entertainment of it all.

Family of five, with teenagers and younger child. We had a great time! Our guide was fantastic, very engaged and funny. Even with the rain from a Nor’easter we enjoyed seeing historic Boston graveyards and hearing spooky stories. Would love a longer tour option, the time flew by too quickly!

If I could give zero stars I would. Tour was cancelled but they didn’t tell us so we stood at the meeting point in cold and rain with two kids. Viator were less than useless in resolving, eventually telling me I could have a refund as though they were doing me a favour. Would have loved to do the tour but organisation was appalling and Viator not someone I will use to book in future

We were visiting Boston with siblings and spouses and looking for something fun to do together in the evening. We had a wonderful time on the Boston Ghosts and Gravestones Trolley Tour. Despite pouring rain, all day and even harder at night, the tour was fun and informative and best part were the staff who stayed in character the entire time despite being soaked to the skin. Would definitely recommend!
