The historical facts discussed by our very knowledgeable tour guide Sandra. She presented the information very clearly and in an interesting manner. Took us to some out of the way spots that were also interesting.

Victoria was a very knowledgeable guide who presented the historical details in a way that made us sympathetic to the ordinary citizen caught up in frightening times. A real eye opener.

A wonderful tour really brought to life by our guide Sebi. Lots of interesting information and useful tips about visiting Budapest. Really enjoyed it and saw many things we wouldn’t have sought out independently as we only had a short time. Highly recommended.

Insight into the Hungarian people and culture
Lisa_B, Apr 2024
Victoria, our guide, was excellent! Her knowledge of history and culture provided great context to understanding Hungary and the struggle of its people from WW1 to modern days. This fast paced tour covered many sites and areas of the city that we would have missed despite taking a panoramic bus tour the following day. We highly recommend this tour.
Informative and Interactive

Carol_S, Apr 2024
Victoria was a fantastic and very knowledgeable guide who we found out is also a history professor. In addition to providing detailed information about the stops on the tour she had thorough answers to all the questions posed by group members. I would highly recommend this tour and encourage travellers to properly compensate the guide if they have a good experience since the booking fee is so minimal.

Victoria knocked it out of the park
Abhay_S, Mar 2024
Definitely recommend. Victoria was passionate in explaining everything and answering all questions through the door. If you’re empathetic, you can feel the history through her narration. Amazing learning from someone whose family lived through the political turbulence and bloodbath of Hungary behind the iron curtain. Goulash and Gulag were part of that heritage.
