From our wonderful tour guide, Georgia, to the delicious wine and beer, the history, and the Ruin Bars themselves, everything about this tour was great! At each location, Georgia got us a round, told us about the history of Hungary, taught us a bit of the Hungarian language, and showed us maps and photos. She was funny, engaging, easy to talk to, and seemed to really enjoy her job. We even had lángos midway through the tour. Delicious! The Bars were fun and so unique. You have to see them for yourself. Highly recommend if you have a free evening in Budapest.

Spending time with a local is a must!

We booked a private Ruin Bar Crawl tour with Tomas (Tommi) and he did not disappoint! What I liked about this tour was we didn't go to the touristy locations. We went to where the locals went, tried Langos, and learned a lot of history. You could Tommi loved his city and had a lot of knowledge. I'd recommend this tour to anyone.

He was knowledgeable, candid in his information and had a great sense of humor. His communication before, during, and after our tour was excellent. I know I’m gonna mess up his name Norbert? He was fantastic! knowledgeable about a broad range of subjects. The three hours flew by. We always think we can go and do these type of bars and experiences by ourselves but the difference it makes to have a local who really understands what’s going on is so helpful. Made our evening 10 times better than it would’ve been if we had done it by ourselves. Highly recommend going on this tour and ask for Norbert.

Norbert was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable about each of the bars and ruins we visited with the history of each one. We truly felt like we were hanging out with a local. Norbert gave great advice and background on each drink we tried and the langos were delicious. I would highly recommend this tour to any one planning a visit to Budapest.
