Good experience to see a Tango show

We liked The quality of this show, the dancers costumes were beautiful. The building seemed old and with character and was ideal for a large number of diners. Soup was warm but not warm enough to melt the cheese. Steak was nicely cooked. Wine was good.

Info for parents and solo travelers

I was between this and another tango show and I decided to do both! That turned out to be a good choice because they were both very different! I’d say this one is more appropriate for adults - it gets a little risqué so if you have kids that’s something to be aware of. But it was a supberb show. I especially liked watching the musicians perform together, you can tell it’s a good group that likes to jam together! The singers were also top notch. Dinner had a lot of choices as well. If you are a solo traveler, just a heads up that you might be seated solo (the other show I went to sat groups of 8 by language so we were all meeting each other for the first time whether we were solo or a couple). If that’s your thing then this is perfect, but if that’s not quite your thing just be aware you might be alone for around two hours. I was solo but I met a lovely couple on the bus ride over and we asked to be seated together so I wasn’t alone which was nice!

I would recommend this entertainment in like to se Argentina Tamgo and great meals

Food was outstanding! I am a vegetarian and there were plenty of options to choose from with even a vegan entree option. The tango class was fun and the tango dancing during the show was amazing. I thought the male singer was not very good but the lady singer was great. I wish there would have been more dancing during those parts too but the live music was nice. I like how most of the action took place on the stage so you could see even from far back on the bottom level. I would definitely go back for this show and delicious food.

Tango in Buenos Aires

First of all, I thank the Viator support from staff who helped with the pick up and drop off from our hotel. The experience was amazing and worth watching the skilled Argentine Tango dancers with delicious dinner. We had a great balcony seat with a great view of the performers. Overall, it was superb experience!

Driver was prompt and friendly. The theater was old school and very nice. Dinner was good, steak was decent, mousse dessert was pretty good. Tango show was very good, band was also a highlight. Dancers gave a great performance for the one hour show. Drive home to my hotel was easy. I recommend this show to visitors, but my advice is that I was glad I contracted the ride, the theater was in an non-descript business district downstairs in a closed mall. Hard to find, no signs.

Disappointed tour operator for a Fantastic show

I booked the show only (without dinner) with transfer a few months ago before my trip to Buenos Aires. And the confirmed booking document said clearly that my service would include pickup from my hotel and drop off after the show. After I arrived in Buenos Aires, I used WhatsApp to communicate with the tour operator regarding the pickup time from my hotel on Tuesday (14 November 2023). At the beginning on WhatsApp, the operator told me that my booking was for December, I said “No, it was for 14 November.p”. Then he/she found the correct booking details and confirmed the pickup time with me. So I thought everything would be fine. Late afternoon on Tuesday after 4pm, (the show was on Tuesday night), I received the message on WhatsApp, the message said that my booked service only included the drop off after the show but not the hotel pickup. As I don’t speak Spanish, I thought I would need someone to help me to solve the problem. A lady at my hotel reception helped me - she managed to talk to the tour operator and sent photos of my booking document through WhatsApp according to their request, finally the operator agreed to offer me the hotel pickup, and apologied for the confusion. After that, everything went well. I got hotel pickup and drop off after the show. The show was fantastic and they even offered group tango lessons, which was fun. I highly recommend this show. However, be careful with this dis-organised tour operator. As a tourist without the language skills in a foreign country, we don’t need this kind stress. If the tour operator refuses to provide the service listed on the booking document, we are in a very vulnerable situation. I suggest that this tour operator should improve the wordings at the booking document, so this kind confusion will not happen to someone else in the future.
