What To Expect

Located within five minutes of Kuranda village, the UNESCO-listed Rainforestation Nature Park is accessible from Cairns by road or by the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway or the Kuranda Scenic Railway (transport is not included). Your admission ticket includes the following tours and experiences: Koala and Wildlife Park, Army Duck Rainforest Tour and Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience.

Upgrade for a pass that also includes general admission to three Tropical North attractions: Cairns Wildlife Dome, Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas and the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary.

Koala and Wildlife Park (30 Minutes)

Take a walk with the keepers along the boardwalks at the Koala and Wildlife Park for a close-up view of Australia's native animals. See crocodiles, wallabies and the shy cassowary foraging for food. Talks and demonstrations are available throughout the day.

Army Duck (1 Hour)

There’s no better way to see the rainforest than in an Army Duck. This all-terrain, amphibious World War II Army Duck will have you driving down dirt tracks and cruising the waterways. As you traverse part of the property on your unforgettable 45-minute rainforest tour, your knowledgeable Duck Captain / guide will point out and explain the native flora and fauna. Army Duck tours depart six times daily.

Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience (1 Hour)

Gain insight into the world's longest-living culture, that of the Australian Aborigines. Hear the Dreamtime stories, watch a corroboree (traditional dance) performance, and learn how to throw a boomerang or play the didgeridoo. The Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience includes the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dance Show, held in the Rainforest Amphitheatre daily, and the Dreamtime Walk conducted either before or after the show.

Super Interesting and fun experience.

Weren't able to do the aboriginal experience due to factors out of the park's control, but the rest of the experience was so cool and fun. The wildlife park was super informative and the animals were so cool. The army duck tour was also really fun, and the tour guide was super knowledgeable, funny, and engaging. The park's reps were also super helpful and gave us free shuttle bus tickets to and from kuranda to make up for the cancelled aboriginal experience which ended up being great value. Keen to return in the future to experience again with the aboriginal experience.

I am writing to you about the terrible experience in Kuranda Rainforest Nature Park #622340, so I explain the reason to request the refund of the payment. 1 . The time was too short and I had to move rushing without enjoy that beautiful place. 2. At the Rainforest Nature Park I presented the ticket at redemption point, the lady asked me about the price, I showed the transaction ($314although she wrote $312) she took her time to decide what she had to do. Then she said that the activity at 1:00 was fully book an she added that we could come back other day to do it! Then she took one ticket off the four activities. 3. We waited for to do Army Duck, when we realised that at 1:45 we had to be at the terminal Kuranda skyrail, so we asked a lady in the office about it, she called there, they told her that we had to got back to the terminal or we lost the tickets. Fortunately a bus arrived, then we took the Skyrail. We did not enjoyed and relax We felt l really frustrated and disappointed with the Rainforest Nature Park experience in Kuranda. For this reason I would like you take into account my request to refund . Best day ever, great train ride, wonderful Skyride. Kuranda was great, went on Army Duck tour which was super experience. The Aboriginal and wildlife center great.Lovely shops and market and places to Eat. Leave yourself around 4- 5 hours for whole day so not rushing. Definatly recommend and would do trip again.

The pass includes everything you'd want to see. The park is great, they'll set up your schedule to make sure you see everything within your own schedule. The one thing they don't tell you is that there is a shuttle that takes you from Kuranda to the park which is about 12pp round trip that you have to pay. So make sure to consider the additional price when buying this deal.

Compact rainforest. Aboriginal experience was fab- dancing, didgeridoos, boomerangs and spear throwing! Army DUKW tour with very knowledgeable guide. I CUDDLED A KOALA (which you can only do in Queensland as they are not endangered there). Saw a huge croc and petted a kangaroo. Brilliant day out :).

I booked my train ride to/ from Kuranda on-line, outside this package. The train ride from Cairns to Kuranda is awesome. Struggled with information on how to get from the Kuranda Train Station to the Kuranda Rainforestation which is outside/ bus ride from the little town of Kuranda. Information showed be added in the details of this package to help consumers understand that they have to take a bus from the train station to the town and another bus from the town to the Kuranda Rainforest. We lost some of the time we needed to enjoy this full package by trying to understand how to get to the Rainforest destination.
