Dive into the spectacular underwater realm of the Great Barrier Reef on this full-day snorkel and scuba cruise from Cairns. Travel aboard a luxurious catamaran to three renowned dive sites to swim among coral gardens and tropical marine life. All experience levels are welcome, and guides are on hand to assist with your choice of snorkeling, introductory scuba diving, or certified diving. A buffet lunch plus morning and afternoon tea on the catamaran are included.

What To Expect

Customize your full-day Great Barrier Reef adventure to suit your style and preference, whether you’re an experienced diver or a novice. On the morning of your tour, make your way to Marlin Wharf in Cairns and climb aboard a luxurious 95-foot (29-meter) catamaran equipped with restrooms, fresh-water showers, and spacious sun decks. Head out into the Coral Sea and enjoy the aquatic landscape on the ride to the first of three dive sites, which may include Flynn Reef, Thetford, and Milln.

At booking, choose how you’d like to explore the reef. Slip on a snorkeling mask and fins if you prefer to stay near the surface, or go deeper with a scuba dive. Beginning divers can take one of two introductory dives, and experienced divers can complete up to three certified dives throughout the day.

All equipment is provided, and guides are on hand to provide instruction and ensure your safety. Whatever you choose, expect to spend ample time in the water observing the reef’s famous marine life including coral formations, tropical fish, anemones, and sea turtles.

In between dives, recharge with morning and afternoon tea breaks and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch midday. Purchase a drink from the full onboard bar if you like, and soak up the tropical sun on the return trip to Cairns, where your tour concludes in the afternoon.

Note: Book early to secure your spot, and enjoy a flexible reservations policy that allows you to change the date of your tour at no additional charge once you arrive in Cairns.

Minimum age for all diving activities is 12 years. Medical conditions apply and some people may require a doctor’s certificate to participate in scuba diving..

Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking
After a single scuba dive a wait of 12 hours is recommended before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or greater. If doing multiple dives an interval of 24 hours is suggested.

Ceritified Diving: Certified divers must possess an internationally recognised SCUBA certificate card.

All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire onboard prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Great diving at the Barrier Reef

Awesome combination dive and snorkel trip to the Great Barrier Reef. First dive stop wasn't great, but second and third were fantastic. Saw sharks, turtles and stingrays. Visibility was great...15-30 meters. Snacks, coffee/tea and a good buffet lunch included. The crew and dive masters are fantastic. They treat you like an adult, but are quick to help when you need a hand. 1000% glad we went on this awesome trip!!!

A Well Oiled Machine

From the moment we stepped on the boat the crew operated like a "well oiled machine" working together to provide the 90 divers and snorkelers on board a positive experience. It was clear that they had the experience and the attitude to make that happen. It was quite breezy the day we went out so the snorkeling was a bit more challenging along with slightly reduced visibility but none of that was the crew's fault. The snacks and lunch were very good and kept us fueled all day.

A fantastic trip to the outer reef. Lucky with great conditions and no rough seas. A bit crammed with a full boat, but the staff kept things somewhat organized. The food was surprisingly good and fresh - better than other trips I’ve been on. Would highly recommend.

Fun experience. I did three dives at Flynn reef. I was not a huge fan of diving in a group as we had one girl in our group who was very slow on her descent and we therefore wasted 10 minutes worth of oxygen waiting for her at the bottom. There were 7 of us with one guide and the visibility was not great so we couldn’t go off too far from the group. It overall was a good experience. They accommodated my vegan diet and even had soy milk to use for coffee creamer.

Incredible! You have to do this tour. The coral and fish were amazing. The boat was very well organized. We got on and off the boat quickly without any problems. They took us to three beautiful locations. You can have fun snorkeling or diving. There was plenty of food for our two snacks and lunch. Bring some water on board because they just serve tea and coffee.
