Overview
Venture off-the-beaten-track and explore the UNESCO-listed wilderness of Australia’s tropical north on this full-day tour from Cairns. Journey along the Captain Cook Highway; take a guided hike through the Mossman Gorge and cool off with a dip in the Mossman River. After lunch (included), look out for crocodiles on a scenic cruise down the Daintree River, then continue to Cape Tribulation to trek through the Daintree Rainforest and enjoy magnificent views over the Great Barrier Reef. We were fortunate to have James as our guide. He kept us enthralled the entire day. A great mix of humour, comprehensive knowledge and experience. James engaged with every passenger and I saw him ensure everyone was well catered for at every stage. My son and I will be returning to Discovery next year and will be requesting to spend the day with James again. I can’t recommend this tour and company enough. My only lament is that we didn’t do it at the beginning of our trip. We would have done the tablelands trip too. Next time…. 😀🙏

Too much time on bus picking up people from Palm Cove And Port Douglas. Nothing was that interesting. 12 hour day with 9 hours on the bus. Better to rent a car and do it on your own.

Our guide was wonderful. He was personable,well informed And made it both fun and interesting.
We had a great view o forest, couldn't go to cape due to heavy storms washing out the roads.

Mossmon Gorge was excellent. But hardly had much time. Just an hour to walk, experience the Indegenous performance and the souvenir store . I wish they don’t do the market in the morning. Total waste of time! We could spend that half hour more at mossmon Gorge.

I recently took a tour that, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations, and I feel it necessary to share my experience for future travelers considering this option.
The majority of our tour was spent on the road or in restaurants, with many noteworthy sites merely pointed out from a distance or discussed while passing by. This approach provided limited engagement with the locations we visited.
Unlike another group from the same company that was given guided exploration opportunities, our group was often left to wander independently. The lack of structured walks and informative accompaniment significantly detracted from the experience, leaving us to figure out things on our own.
Most concerning was a dangerous incident involving a boy and his father who nearly drowned while swimming in the Daintree Rainforest's river, an activity that was promoted as safe. Alarmingly, the guide was absent when this critical situation unfolded, raising serious questions about the tour's safety measures and oversight.
Given these experiences, I cannot recommend this tour to those seeking a fulfilling, relaxed, and immersive travel experience. The lack of guided exploration, safety concerns, and the overall structure of the tour fell short of providing a memorable and enjoyable journey.

Loved the boat trip on Daintree River when we saw a couple of crocodiles, the walk through the rainforest and swimming at Mossman Gorge. Carsten, our guide, was knowledgeable, informative and great fun.

Pick up time advertised as 7.05 - in reality was picked up at 7.35. Drive along the coast was amazing and the tour guide clearly knowledgable. Stopped for a photo and then an hour boat ride. This was followed by 30 minutes in the ‘village’ which basically just comprised of a bar - complete waste of time. Lunch at the aborigine centre was fine but then talk by the elder took far too long. Spent an hour at the waterfall. Given the conditions did not allow for most of the advertised items to take place, other tour groups went to neighbouring beaches - this would have been a far better use of time. Don’t book this tour if you’re expecting to walk through the rainforest as this wasn’t an option. Save your money and time

We currently visit the Daintree Village, which is a quant Village in the Daintree Rainforest, we are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your time there.
We spend extra time at Mossman Gorge, where you can swim and we do a guided walk through the Rainforest, so I can't understand why you commented on not spending anytime in the Rainforest.
