Good tour but too much shopping

The tour guide was very knowledgable and eager to share. I definitely learned a lot on this tour. However, they market this tour as being 4 hours and the amount of time spent in the museum was 2 hours, with half an hour for me to wander around. The rest of the time was taken up by going 'shopping' to a papyrus shop and trying find a lunch place (which ended up being too touristy and overpriced for me so I opted not to partake). I think the 1.5 hour tour that I got was worth the money but I would have rather they just marketed it as a 2 hour tour without the shopping excursion.

The best experience of the museum!

It was a great experience! Mahmoud el Wake, who was our guide the day was great. We learned a lot from him even though I had studied before going to Egypt. He was gentle, nice, and friendly. We chose a "private" tour since we didn't have enough time. (We had to fly to Aswan on the day.) It was a great decision and I'm glad that we had a great guide.

Tour was great but problem was from the drive Viator scheduled to get us to Cairo

The tour guide was wonderful. The only problem was that the driver you provided from Alexandria to Cairo had a mechanically unsound car so he drove very slowly and when we got to Cairo the car kept stalling so we were very late. Our tour guide agreed to take us but because the museum was closing we did not have as long a tour. This was not the fault of the tour guide by any means. Both she and her driver were the best

This museum is one of the most famous in the world. Lots of exhibits. More than you can take in during one setting. The guide was knowledgible and professional. Highly recommend.

- Avoid this company, very bad organisation: no confirmation, not responding to 3-4 emails or calls. In the end, there was no-show of transport and guide at hotel - However, we did manage to meet the guide, Noah, in the end and she was pretty good & pleasant. Knowledgeable, no rush, good explanations.

Our guide was Noah, she was excellent spent the appropriate time at the exhibits and was extremely knowledgeable and patient. Gave us sone good tips on what else to see in Cairo. Wish the new Museum was open. Great experience overall

The tour only lasted 90 minutes instead of the 3-4 hours advertised, so that was a huge disappointment. The guide was knowledgable but too rushed. I paid way too much (almost 40 euros)!

Rubbish guide, good museum

Go the museum alone. The guide was awful. We spent two hours in the museum, with 30 mins free time. We got the plaques read out to us and he kept standing to the side of each object because people were strangely enough looking at it front on. He then got impatient when we tried to see the object itself and we felt rushed throughout the whole trip. We didn’t get the water or snack as promised and in truth we would have been happier with just the taxi fare each way. Waste of money using this guide.

No one showed up. I sent a message through Viator that was not responded to. I tried contacting them both by phone and Whatsapp and they did not respond. The company completely neglected to complete the service. I ended up taking a taxi to the museum and toured it on my own
