Our guide Patrick was excellent. The day was overcast and rainy, but that did not diminish the experience. We saw the penguins first, then the cape. Because of the weather, there were few people at each. At the cape, prepare to hike and climb. There is a funicular at Cape Point, but it was not running. Even if it were, it’s still a climb up some steps to get to the lookout. Wear comfortable shoes, and bring a raincoat! On the drive back, the cliffs along the ocean reminded us of Big Sur. We highly recommend this tour with Patrick!

Frank was our guide. Amazing man, well traveled and smart, His knowledge of geography, history and politics was a plus to the trip, He even went over our allotted time which was above and beyond. Patrick is the coordinator and I give him a 10++ overall!
Very knowledgeable guide,...

Very knowledgeable guide, very interesting history and information about the area. He was great with the kids, they are twin boys age 10.
Great tour - and Patrick is a wonderful guide!

Excellent tour! Patrick was a great guide, full of knowledge and very informative. Even though it was winter time, we saw penguins in abundance, baboons (keep those windows closed!), dassie, ostrich, seals, comarants, gulls, and even a few field mice at an overlook! Scenery was amazing. What made this really great was that our booking was originally for Thursday and the weather forecast was for TONS of rain and clouds (not good for an outdoor tour!). Patrick was more than willing to accommodate a switch in dates to Friday (the next day) where the day was mostly sunny and a much better option. We were able to make this change the Wednesday before. This was a great tour with no bad surprises and lots of good things to see. Highly recommend!!

What a day I had! Saw penguins, zebra, antelopes, ostriches, baboons…. beaches, ocean from many different places, amazing nature… So many wonderful things on the peninsula. Patrick is a great tour guide. He knows everything about everything. He taught me so much about so many things: history, nature, wildlife, social habits… we stopped menu times and I took a great amount of amazing pictures (I had a cigaret on a few stops :-)) It it wasn’t for Patrick, this trip would never be so fulfilling. Thank you Patrick.

Excellent guide!!

AMAZING guide. We booked this tour as we realized we still had so much to see with only one day left in Cape Town. Our guide was flexible on the agenda, and was extremely knowledgeable. He found us all the best spots for photos and views. He was a safe driver and would do another tour with him in a heart beat.
Coastline and wildlife experience

Amazing trip with fantastic views and a chance to see the African Penguins and other wildlife including ostriches and a baboon carrying its baby.
Not to be missed

This was an amazing morning. Patrick was a fantastic guide. He told us so much about the history, ecology, political economy, etc.. But it just felt like a chat with an old friend, not a tour guide. Definitely to be recommended, particularly if only in Cape Town for a limited time.
Great trip

We had a great day with Patrick - he was a great guide and was really knowledge about the area and South Africa more generally. We saw loads and the trip was a highlight of our Cape Town stay!
Wonderful, engaging tour

Patrick was the most cheerful, knowledgeable, and engaging tour guide I could have hoped for! We were able to see all the sites and a few animals we didn’t expect to see!

Penguins, lighthouses, beaches, oh my!
Robert_W, Jan 2021
Patrick was an outstanding guide. He took us to just the places we wanted to go to. The tour was neither to short nor too long. We saw the Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point funicular and lighthouse, and saved the best for last - the penguins at Boulder's beach. He drove very safely and was a treasure trove of information. This was the perfect time to travel because at some places, we were the only tourists. We would highly recommend his company for this tour from Cape Town.

Great half-day tour!
Price V, Dec 2019
We only had a half-day left and this was a great way to see Cape Point, the penguins near Boulder Beach and Chapman's Peak!
An interesting tour led by a fascinating guide
Trevor_H, Oct 2019
We didn't feel that Cape Point justified a whole day, so we booked this half-day tour and we were not disappointed. Our knowledgeable guide picked us up at our hotel and took us by a very interesting route to Cape Point. As a local, she was able to show us many interesting and unusual sights. We had a very good drive via Hout Bay and Chapmans Peak during which we saw lots and many anecdotes were shared. On the way we saw klipspringer, ostrich and many other native animals. Having climbed to the old lighthouse and taken pictures at the Cape, we returned to the Cape Town area via the eastern coast, calling at Simon's Town and Muizenberg, following which the guide left us at Table Mountain for our afternoon visit.
