What To Expect

Get picked up at your central Cape Town hotel and begin your day trip into Western Cape wine country.

Visit the town of Paarl in the Paarl Valley, where you’ll visit a wine estate for a cellar tour and wine tasting session, along with winery stops in pretty Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. It’s second only to Cape Town as the oldest European settlement in the province, and where the region’s winemaking got its start.

The Pinotage grape is unique to South Africa, having been hybridized in the country, but it’s not the only wine you’ll taste. Other varietals are grown in South Africa, too, including Shiraz, Semillon and Chardonnay.

During your stops in Paarl and Stellenbosch, enjoy some free time to explore the towns on foot at your leisure. After the last tasting of this relaxing day, head back to Cape Town aboard the vehicle. Please note that the order of stops may differ depending on the day.

If guests are making their own way to a listed pick-up point, they need to allow sufficient travelling time (ie... traffic delays etc...) in order to arrive at the pickup point in time for collection.
Should guests not arrive by the scheduled departure time, the tour will depart and no refunds will be given.
It is compulsory that guests contact us 48 hours prior to tour departure to re-confirm pick up and drop off details. Should clients not make contact with us by 48 hours prior to travel date, the booking will automatically be cancelled.

When more than one person is travelling – we require names and last names of all guests travelling (reason being if tour booking is made with one person and the hotel reservation is made under another, we will be informed by the hotel that there ais nobody by that name at the hotel which will result in delays and could cause the guests to miss the tour).

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

This tour is awesome! The guide picks you at your airport and brings you to 3 different wineries (in 3 different regions). Our guide, Carola, was friendly, explained every monument on the way and answered all of our questions. For lunch, she took us to a nice little town with plenty of restaurant options, amazing! Will recommend this tour to everyone that visits Cape Town!

Wonderful day out to the wineries

Eddie, our driver and tour guide, was informative, friendly, courteous and very organised. We visited 3 wineries and had a day out that exceeded our expectations. Stellenbosch is a beautiful wine growing area and the wineries and wine were excellent.

I had an all day excursions the day before the wine tour and was so tired I almost cancelled. I am soooooo happy I did not. It was an amazing experience. Everything was perfect....from the tour guide to the wine to the locations. The views can not be described in words you have to see them. Absolutely Amazing! Definitely worth the money. Hopefully you will get Ashley, he was nice and informative and so patient with our small group.

Wine trip to Stellenbosch

We had a great day out visiting 3 wineries and having lunch in Stellenbosch. There were some very nice wines especially at the first one where each wine was accompanied by a different cheese. We also stopped briefly at Franschhoek which was also a nice little town. A very pleasant trip in a beautiful area.

Thoroughly enjoyed the wineries visited on this trip. Our guide, although slightly challenged with the English language, went out of his way to ensure that we had an enjoyable experience. We could have done without the 30 min stop in Stellenbosch. There was very little to see or do here.

The wineries were ok, particularly the first and last ones. The second was so so at best. Decent number of pours with cheeses to accompany the wines. The best part of the tours are the two towns, Stellenbosch and Franschoek. Both are lovely and so worth exploring. Wonderful and interesting shops, lots of arts, and great little coffee shops and restaurants. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Lovely way to spend a day if you are in CapeTown.

Enjoyable tour

The tour was in English and German which worked well but made it harder for the group to interact. Eva, our guide, easily made the transition between the languages. Our group size was 10 (5 couples). Although we enjoyed Eva's commentary she did not try to find out anything about us so there was no tailoring of the conversation to topics of the group. There was also no explanation of why these 3 wineries were chosen. The tour ended sooner than we anticipated from the schedule we were given earlier in the day....Would have liked that extra time to explore the town of Stellenbosch.

This was a terrific day with six other lovely people. We wanted some wine tastings, we did three, but wanted time in Stellenbosch and Franschoek too. This was the best solution. Our guide was knowledgable and very pleasant. We did three different type and size wineries which was a great sampling of what The Winelands have to offer. Highly recommend this tour to others. It didn't hurt that it was a gorgeous day to be in this already beautiful area.
