Day at Boone Hall
Cynthia_M, Apr 2024
Very interesting especially the Gullah story told by Miss Veronica . The plantation is beautiful. Our guide, Sean was very friendly and informative and helpful.
The Boone Hall Plantation Tour.
Elvia_E, Apr 2024
The Boone Hall Plantation is a good tour. The best part of the tour was the presentation of the gullah history. In my opinion, more time is needed to view the property. I was not able to get tractor ride , view the outside of the main home and other areas because of the short time spent. If I were to return I would take private transportation to the Plantation.
Absolutely Wonderful!
Sandy_C, Apr 2024
Our shuttle driver, Sean, was incredible. I felt like we were on a history tour instead of just having transportation to the Plantation! The plantation tour was also great and the cafe was also greatly! I highly recommend!
Absolutely a must visit while in Charleston or surrounding area.

Everything was so interesting. Loved learning about Gullah culture and the history of the Boone plantation. I will be back and bring my family.

Tour driver was ok. He did give us an overview on our way there. I was not expecting the day at the olantsrion to be self guided. The driver did not share anything with us in the way back

Put this tour on your list while in the Charleston area. Great value for the money. Tour could be a little longer in order to take in all that this large plantation has to offer.
Great experience but not worth extra monies.
SUSAN_D, Apr 2024
What tour? Admission and transportation there was no tour by the tour company. Disappointing. The Boone hall was pretty and house tour was interesting.?slave quarters were done well.
Great Tour and Transportation

Driver gave history as we drove to Boone Hall. He also gave tips on what we could do and important aspects such as signing up for the house tour and not missing the live tour. Highly recommend!
Memorable tour
Andrea_H, Apr 2024
We enjoyed the Gullah presentation and learning about their history. The tour guide of the house was entertaining and enthusiastic. The grounds and were nice to explore and there was plenty of time in between activities. Our driver was kind, knowledgeable, and communicative regarding pick up/drop off times.
Not enough time……
Keith_G, Mar 2024
Sadly, this tour is not worth the money. The amount of time that is available once on site is not near enough to see and visit all that there is to see and do. It would have been much better to self drive and take your time. Not recommended.
Amazing tour

The talk on the Gullah culture was so informative and the presenter held everyone's attention. The flowers were beautiful. The food at the Butterfly cafe was delicious. Everyone was so friendly. Only negative thing qas that the house tour was too short..
Boone Hall Plantation a Must!
Jody_C, Mar 2024
The plantation home was beautiful. The song and talk of the Gullah speaker was very interesting. There was another speaker who shared the history of slavery on the plantation. We also took a tractor ride around the grounds of the plantation which showed the current crops being grown as well as other things. Delightful trip!
Worth visiting.
Regina_L, Mar 2024
Tour guide of house was a little long-winded and we missed the tractor tour of the plantation. Other than that. It was a memorable tour.

The plantation tour was very informative and easy to navigate. Our guide on the van (Sean ) was terrific in guiding us.
Sad
j_m, Jan 2024
They canceled tour. All of us were very disappointed. Seems to happen a lot in January. We were looking forward to it. Especially since we took a tour to Middleton Plantation and could not go in the house which we were there
Response from Host, Jan 2024
We're sorry your tour was cancelled. We have had several drivers go out sick with Covid in the last week or so and didn't want to put any guests in danger. These things can happen unfortunately, but we do our best to operate all tours. Also keep in mind that January is off season here, so some compoments of tours may not be available.
Not the true house
Tammy_F, Jan 2024
Overrated….. didn’t know the house was built around the 1930’s. Disappointed! Only a few things from the original. The three past movies is why the place is popular for tourists. Sorry!
It was Ok.
Lisa_S, Dec 2023
We were looking forward to the Gullah presentation. Unfortunately we could not hear the lady giving the presentation, since the audio equipment was not working. We tried to listen for most of it. Ended up leaving early. We were very disappointed. We paid a lot of money for the tour.
Why did the farm tour not just announce at beginning how long delay was going to be. Instead of keep saying it will be
Erma_l, Dec 2023
Adventure tours that you sent us with wa a really good tour company. Good guis and their vans were really clean. As for Boone hall the Gullah lectures were great and the arm tour was really good. But the person running the farm tour delayed that tour so long that we could not do house tour.
Gullah culture talk is the best thing at Boone Hall
Sabrina_Z, Dec 2023
Boone hall was an average tour. Nothing particularly special about the house or farm tractor tour. I found the Gullah culture tally the best aspect of the tour. Also the employees were friendly and very helpful which makes everything better. Thanks
