Ride an ATV along the seashore of Mezcalitos and soak up magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea. You’ll have 2 hours of guided driving time on this combo island adventure on Cozumel. What To Expect

After pickup from a centrally located meeting point in Cozumel, you’re transferred to the east side of the island to meet your guides. Receive a safety briefing, snap on a provided helmet, and learn to operate your all-terrain vehicle, a semiautomatic Honda TRX 250.

Hop in the saddle of your ATV and ride off-road along the Caribbean shoreline. The 2-hour ride first takes you to the Maya archaeological ruins of Castillo Real, with time to relax at Ixpalbarco Beach. Then continue your route along Mezcalitos, considered one of the most untouched landscapes of Cozumel.

After a thrilling ATV ride along the coast, head back to the starting point for a flavorful lunch of chicken fajitas. On arrival at the Playa Uvas Beach Club you have the option of an included 30-minute snorkeling session before returning to downtown Cozumel.

I think I’ll stick with cruise affiliated excursions

The “private “ beach was nothing but litter and gross , it shouldn’t be part of this excursion . At first I was very suspicious that I got booked a shady excursion it turned out to be fine but they really need to find a better process

Rough ride through the sweltering dusty jungle!

This ATV experience is for a younger age group It implies this is a beech wheeling experience when in reality it’s on very rough terrain through the jungle NEXT to the beech NOT on it! Wasn’t told about the tequila tasting which we refused as we’ve done that hard sell before lunch (quesadillas) was fine but drink prices steep….Finally our guides lack of English skills was as bad as I have ever had during a excursion crazy part being told to do a video review by the guide before lunch!! That was weird & was in poor taste without question!! Before lunch & before being taken to our drop off point? ODD!

This excursion was the best! Eddie was extremely courteous and made sure everyone felt safe. It was a lot of fun riding the ATVs and seeing different sites. Definitely recommend!

Pros: It was easy to find our guide, we chose to meet at the 711 which was right next to the Royal Caribbean cruise port. The ATV ride was SO much fun and lasts about 1.5 hours. We loved it! We stopped at a beach while riding and it was completely empty and gorgeous. The fajitas at the resort were yummy and we had a great time snorkeling near the shore. Overall top notch adventure and our tour guide was fantastic! Cons: we were told only upon arrival that we should have sunglasses and bandanas to cover our eyes and mouth/noses, so we ended up spending an extra $40 at a nearby shop. (This actually was a very good thing since the road is dusty) They also charged us an additional $5 per person in taxes. Lastly, we were paired with two other people who had purchased a different tour which resulted in our group losing 30 minutes to make two stops for them. That was very frustrating since we were on a tight cruise ship schedule. It also would’ve been nice to have water accessible during the ATV ride.

Amazing Excursion

I’ve been on a few ATV excursions in the Caribbean and this was one of the most adrenaline packed. Of course every excursion in Mexico starts with a tequila tasting/selling program but that took all of 5 minutes. The beach club we ended up at had lunch which was chicken fajitas and the water was rough conditions which meant we couldn’t swim but honestly the water was nicer along the ATV route so lucky we got to stop off when we did. Victor was amazing as our tour guide, 11/10!

Adventure at it's finest

This was such a fun adventure. Eddy was fantastic and really made sure all of us were having fun. When part of our the larger group was going slower than we should be, he split us up so we could really cut loose and have fun. Winding through the jungle and popping out at the ocean was just unreal. We had time to explore an old Mayan artifact and the beach. There was ample time on the ATVs before we headed out to Playa Uvas to have a great meal and snorkel or relax on the beach. We would definitely do this excursion again next time we are in Cozumel!

A blast in Cozumel

We had a great time on our day trip to Cozumel from Cancun. Irving and his sidekick were OUTSTANDING, fun hosts. The Atv ride was awesome, enjoyed some amazing tequila (make sure to try the coffee and almond), then a great time at the beach club. I would recommend the tour to anyone.

We had an amazing day. The weather was amazing and the views on the excursion were fantastic. The beach we went to, I believe it's called Mezcalitos, was one of the best beaches we've seen. My kids enjoyed the entire trip. They said this was the best excursion they have been on and that's saying a LOT as we travel very often. The beach club that was part of the excursion had complimentarty activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, and snorkeling available. The tequila tour was quick and enjoyable. Viator and its tour operator delivered as promised. The one thing I would asked them is to be a bit more descriptive as to where the meeting point is. We met at the Royal Village Shopping center across from the International Cruise Terminal where our ship docks. The tour guides were waiting for us in front of the Royal Village Shopping Center behind a Sunglass shop/kiosk in the corner. They should have a sign or their shirt should say Playa Uvas. Their shirt says Dune Buggy and its black with orange and white stripes.

I’d definitely recommend this excursion! The company was very professional, calling for confirmation the day before and the day of the excursion to make sure we’re on our way to the meeting point. Meeting point was easy to find and a pleasant walk. The guides took my kids and their friends and had a good communication in English. The tour was very enjoyable and fun and they loved it.

The ATV ride on the coast and through the jungle was amazing! We stopped to see Mayan ruins. Tequila tour was great! We were able to taste many different tequilas. Fajita lunch was delicious at Playa UVAs and snorkeling was great. Lots of fish! Our guide, Cesar was fantastic! Told us so much about Cozumel.

We had such a great time riding ATV’s and snorkeling. Denir took exceptional care of us and was so much fun. We didn’t know what we were getting into with this excursion since we booked it outside of the cruise ship. It turned out to be the best day of our week. Denir met us at the pre-determined location, and he was with us every step of the way. Highly recommend this trip. (And ask for Denir.).

Great Activity!

I was a bit nervous about this activity since the communication with them wasn’t the best prior to the adventure HOWEVER, once we met with our tour guide, Victor, my doubts faded away. He was such a great guide and he made everything so seamless. We had a great ride and the Playa Uvas Beach Club was beautiful. We didn’t get the chance to do the snorkeling but the fajitas there for lunch was fantastic. Just make sure you have $5 for goggles & $5 dollars for a face scarf, these are absolute necessities for the ATV ride if you don’t have your own. Bug spray is also a must. We also did tequila tasting which was a great surprise. I’d recommend this activity 10 times out of 10.

A very pleasant surprise in Cozumel

I signed up for this excursion with a good friend traveling with my wife and I and it far exceeded our expectations. We were incredibly surprised to find that we were the only 2 people on the excursion, and we couldn't have hoped for a better host than Denir. The ATV experience was incredible with a great combination of beach and jungle with some rocks and water thrown in for good measure. My friend Marianne had done ATVs before, but it was a first for me and was a great course for a first timer while still being very enjoyable for more experienced riders. The really pleasant surprise was after the ATV ride when we were taken to Playa Uvas for lunch and snorkeling. The excursion just advertised an optional snorkeling opportunity which we expected to just be a beach somewhere. We weren't expecting an all inclusive resort with some fabulous chicken fajitas for lunch, beautiful water for snorkeling, and a beautiful pool with a swim up bar. If you're in Cozumel and like these kinds of activities, then this is the excursion for you. My friend Marianne described it as the best excursion ever and I can't disagree.

One of the best excursions I've ever been on

This excursion really needs better marketing! It was incredible. First, the tour guide, picked us up and we did a private (!) ATV ride by the ocean at Playa Mezcalitos for about an hour or so. Then, he took us to a resort where we got in free and this guide seemed to know everyone. Lunch was included (chicken fatijas) and then after that we snorkeled (you can borrow the equipment) and saw beautiful fish and some coral. Then we relaxed by the pool until time to go (about another 2 hours). The entire excursion was 5 hours. It was one of the best-run excursions ever. I'm not sure if more were supposed to join or if we just lucked out with the private tour, but we appreciated it after the crowds on the cruise ship! Plus we got to go fast haha.

Great ride- misleading info

The ATV ride was excellent. Beware of misleading information regarding the pick up if you're via cruise ship (NCL) at Puerto Lagosta and not the International Cruise Terminal. It is NOT within walking distance as the operator states!

Was a very fun atv trip down the jungles and beaches of the area. Generally pretty smooth ground. Enjoyed the tequila tasting, and beach club at the end. Didn’t enjoy how the beach club cost $5 a person and that wasn’t included in the original charge. Tour guide “forgot to mention” it until near the end. If you do these tours regularly you shouldn’t forget these things. You should be up front with the costs at the beginning.
