Our guide was very knowledgeable about the island and took us all over, I loved seeing the Mayan temple next to the church, everything was so beautiful and chill, I was happy not to be rushed and to go at our own pace.

An excursion that was not what we expected.
Annette_V, Apr 2024
We came with the cruise ship and it was easy to find our private guide Thomas at the 7 eleven meeting point. The first thing we did was a tequila tasting at a so called farm at the end of a little road. The tasting itself was ok. Then we drove around the island to get to the Cenote and then we made a stop at the little town of El Cedral. Thomas didn’t even get out of the jeep to show us around. The snorkeling was disappointing because it was just off of a deck by the restaurant/beach. The fish are fed with tortillas to be around the shore. There was though a lot of fish. All in all we were a little disappointed with our guide and the overall experience.
Delightfully relaxing and beautiful

Not great
Kimberly_H, Apr 2024
The Jeep we were given to drive had nothing working on the dash, no speedometer, the gas was stuck on empty, nothing worked at all. We smelled a very strong burning smell and the vehicle ended up overheating and was not able to be driven anymore. We had to be picked up by one of the tour guides in another vehicle and leave the jeep. My son was extremely disappointed because he was looking forward to snorkeling, which we did not get to do at all.
Very stressful near end of trip

We went on this excursion with 5 other families, many children. We are all friends. The main reason we booked this excursion was to snorkel. Our cruise needed us back on board by 3:30pm, so we wanted to be back at the beginning by 2:30 so we didn’t need to rush. We were supposed to leave at 9am. The guide was late getting us from our pickup location and didn’t have all of the jeeps ready when we got to the lot, so we had to wait around for 45 minutes. Then we went to a tequila farm, which was cool, but we were there for a long time, longer than we should have. The kids did enjoy the animals there and trying fresh coconuts. The next stop was the beach, which was the highlight of our trip. We were there for about 40 minutes. The kids loved it. The beach wasn’t packed. It was beautiful. Then we stopped for lunch. We got there around noon. I asked the guide when we were snorkeling and he said we didn’t have time to do that today. Which was so unfortunate because that was what we wanted to do the most. I didn’t understand why we didn’t start with that or at least why he didn’t ask us our preferences because our entire group would’ve wanted to snorkel. The kids were all very sad about this. The lunch was good. No drinks included. You had to choose between only chicken or beef tacos, fajitas, or quesadillas. It was a beautiful view, but again, we were there too long. We were told the next stop was seeing the Cenote, which we were excited about. We don’t arrive at the cenote until just before 2pm. We asked the guide about time and he told us we would still be back when we said, around 2:30. The cenote was cool. The ride to it was fun in the jeep. Very keep-like experience in the forest with lots of bumps, potholes, water puddles, hills, etc. In the cenote, you could swim in it or jump into it from above. We had a few people jump in from above and that was cool. However, you must know that you will be very stinky afterwards. The water was pretty gross. When we left the cenote, it was around 2:15. Remember, we requested to be back by 2:30. He said it’ll be closer to 2:40 that we arrive now. We took off on the way there with 5 vehicles in our party. At one point around 2:45 we realized we didn’t have one of our vehicles in our line. We pulled over and waited only to find out one of the jeeps broke down. They had to get picked up by another car and taken to our group. This was incredibly stressful for all of us in the time it took to figure out where they were. We had no idea what had happened. The entire last 1.5 hours of this trip was incredibly stressful. We thought we were going to be close to missing our ship. We didn’t arrive to our starting location until after 3pm and had to sprint to the cruise ship. Very stressful last leg of the trip and we were very disappointed that we couldn’t snorkel. Outside of those two major things, we did enjoy what we did and the kids did as well. We just wished the company had better time management to ensure we do everything we expected when we purchased this excursion.
Not enough drivers and showing up late.
Kathy_S, Mar 2024
The driver went to the wrong pick up point. He was an hour and half late. My husband ended up being a driver, because we had 2 jeeps. Tequila was just tasting not walking through the factory. Lunch was good.
Fun and informative private tour
William_W, Mar 2024
We really enjoyed the Cinote and because the Jeep is only allowed 2 passengers due to Cozemel law, it was a private tour and the driver provided us with lots of information that was very helpful to us. It was VERY BUMPY going to the Cinote but worth it and we also visited a small village. The lunch at the beach was very good and the water was cool but very refreshing once we were in. You have to buy your drinks which are expensive. Beware the place you stop on the ocean side (lots of big waves) are VERY expensive and the prices are better near the ship. Food and taxi's are VERY expensive in Cozumel. Overall, It was an excellent tour and a good bit less costly than from the ship.
Great private adventure it was just me and my husband loved it would recommend this to anyone!!

That was very nice took his time with us, answered all questions.!! it was just me and my husband I really enjoyed that so we are kinda on our own timeline. I would highly recommend this to anyone.!! Thank you for such a great adventure!!

We enjoyed the whole tour and the lunch. I thought the ruins and the cenote were so interesting. We also spotted wildlife which we love doing. We saw several iguanas, bats and an adorable coati! Our guide couldn’t have been nicer.

Our guide, Ricardo, was amazing! He knew all the best places and answered every question we had. Substations and side trips were no problem. We learned so much about Cozumel, its culture and its history.

Sergio was our guide for our jeep tour. He was fabulous. He was very attentive to us, very personable, and very knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. He made us feel special. He was never rushing us and let us spend as much time as we wanted at our various stops. I would highly recommend the jeep tours as an excursion - and be sure to ask for Sergio as your guide!
Great guide and really fun, laidback tour

George was our guide . We had a great time . We skipped what we didn't want to see , and went to extra places once we told him our expectations. Definitely recommend
Great way to see sights
Amber_H, Feb 2024
Our driver Pancho was excellent - great customer service. He had a cooler with waters, soda and beer for us. We rode in the back of an open air jeep which we loved. The stops included a tequila/chocolate tasting, playa de San Martin beach (be sure to check out crocodiles in mangrove across the street from beach), an overlook point with scenic views and huts selling tchotchkes (Pancho’s “aunt” is super sweet and grateful for purchases), a small town called el cedral where you take a bumpy dirt road to a pretty cenote followed by lunch at the tortugas beach club (least favorite stop of the tour). The food is sub par but everyone is nice. We opted to leave an hour early since weather did not allow us to enjoy beach chairs. Overall, I recommend as a great way to see several sights in a half day.
Highly Recommend!

Sergio is the BEST!!
William_C, Jan 2024
Sergio introduced us to Cozumel, beyond the cruise ship. We learned how tequila (not the commercial stuff) is made, how cenotes form, why the Yucatan is called that, how Cozumel got its name, and enjoyed seeing the sights.
Jeep tour

Katerina was excellent. She had great history to share with us. We got to see a lot of the island in a short amount of time. Thanks for a great day.
Memorable trip. Worth the money.
A_S, Jan 2024
This was a worthwhile trip. Worth the money. Our guide, Sergio, was excellent and very helpful. It was just the 2 of us in the Jeep. Good vehicle, well maintained. We were very thankful for the working A/C and the good shock absorbers. He took us around Cozumel. The Tequila stop was okay. Gave us some info on the making of Tequila, but it was mainly a marketing ploy. (We did buy some Tequila!!). The Tortugas beach club stop was good. Tasty lunch food and did some snorkeling. The Jade Cavern stop was an experience. The name is a complete misnomer. There is NO JADE color to the water. As other reviews have said, the water is murky/milky and full of bat droppings. I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole. What was memorable was witnessing a local couple jumping into the water from a hole in the roof of the cavern 30 feet up and the millions of bats and stalagtites and stalagmites. The road to the Jade cavern is terrible and neck whiplash is very possible. All in all a good experience worth the money.
