We are very sorry that you missed your tour with us by arriving late, but our records show that your cruise ship arrived on time.
While we always do our best to accommodate any of our Guests running late, if you still show up extremely delayed (even if you call), we can't hold the departure if we have other Participants signed; as it's a total lack of respect, making others wait, when they showed up on time.
The reason why you could not be offered to have a rental vehicle as you mentioned, it's due to the fact that your seats on the tour were guaranteed and not sold to other paying Customers.
Getting you a rental car to be used instead of the tour, it's like if you miss a flight and then ask to be placed on another plane without paying, when other tickets clearly have an additional cost.
Being said that, it is worth to mention that our business is not making money out of no show Participants, but if you miss a departure for any attraction anywhere else in the world, you are not provided with another service for free as a compensation.
