Jump aboard your Jeep and begin your adventure tour by setting out into the jungle. Admire Cozumel’s incredible countryside as you journey towards Punta Sur Sate Refuge, listening to your guide’s captivating commentary through the Jeep's state-of-the-art radio system.

Enter the ecological reserve and venture to EL Caracol, an ancient Mayan ruin used to indicate the approach of a violent storm. Absorb the unique atmosphere that surrounds this remarkable relic, marveling at the 1200AD origin of the monument. Continue to Colombia Lagoon to watch languid saltwater crocodiles enjoying the sunshine, and then ascend to the summit of the observation tower to enjoy unrivalled views of the shimmering water.

Next, head to the beach and don snorkeling gear before plunging into the iridescent waters of the Caribbean Sea. Follow your guide as you explore the protected bay, greeting diverse marine life at every turn; observe turtles, lobsters and troves of tropical fish during your aquatic adventure.

Return to the awaiting Jeep and continue your journey to the Navigation Museum, a captivating collection of memorabilia housed within the Punta Celarin Lighthouse. Peruse the exhibitions then climb to the tower’s top to enjoy panoramic vistas of the Cozumel coast.

Conclude your adventure tour with a fulfilling and flavorsome Mexican lunch at a luxurious beach resort; enjoy regional classics like spicy fajitas, tangy salsa, soft rice, crunchy chips and tasty tortillas. Recline on a beach chair or take a refreshing dip in the pool before returning by Jeep to your original departure point.

Great experience but the jeeps were laughable. No functional seat belts. None of meters on dash worked- no odometer, speedometer, rpm gauge or fuel gauge worked. Dash was falling off. And clutch quit working mid way. The tour guide was great and accommodating- Jorge. The locations explored breathtaking.

Hello Monica, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience during your visit and rating us with 4 stars. We really appreciate that you bring to our attention the condition of the vehicle. Our Jeeps undergo a constant maintenance program, the clutch issue was a regular wearing result; but it has been completely replaced. Unfortunately, though it could seem like a long time ago, after the pandemic we've kept struggling in finding some spare parts for the Jeeps, but rest assured we are working hard to have them fully restored. At Cozumel Fun Excursions, we look forward to seeing you again in the near future. Sincerely yours, Moises Loeza

FUN JEEP AND SNORKEL TOUR
Karen_M, Nov 2020
First off the staff was most memorable, and we all enjoyed the Jeep ride and drive. The beach was great and lunch was superb. Then to top it all off with the tequila tasting most memorable, well of what I can remember, haha not really. All great fun keep up the good work. Gracias.

The tour was great! We had no idea we would be able to do the driving of the Jeep. June is also a perfect month to visit, we were the only ones on the tour so it end up being a private tour :)

Had a good time on the trip, the only negative was the tequila tour.I don't remember this being listed on the itinerary as I probably would not have booked it if I had. I didn't need a 30 minute sales pitch to buy overpriced alcohol in the middle of my tour.

We had a blast, great way to see the beauty of Cozumel. Jeeps are sturdy beasts that get a work out, watch your head climbing the lighthouse, get a massage and lunch on a beach.

A great way to capture a glimpse of the Mayan history and beautiful beaches of Cozumel. The lighthouse provides wonderful views if you are fit enough to do the climb. Unfortunately we were unable to snorkel with turtles due to currents. The tequila distillery was very interesting. Great guides.

The Cozumel jeep and snorkel adventure tour was good, but not quite what was advertised. We were with a large group, which was fine, but we would have liked to spent more time on the beach and less time with the talking about the one 1 crocodile we saw in the park. The lighthouse and museum were terrific. The snorkeling, beach time and fajitas was awesome - more time needed here.

A lot of fun. Guide's dune buggy broke down, but that ended up giving us a custom tour of the island. Weather wasn't good for snorkeling, but that's nature. Guide did a great job of coming up with alternate activities.

The best excursion I've taken in Cozumel which was 50 cheaper than booking same tour on the ship. There were only 4 jeeps which made it a nice size. The gave us cold bottled water at each stop - nice stop. The lunch was quite good and the beach was awesome! Tequila factory was a nice thing to add at the end. So impressed with Felipe our main tour guide who even guided the group on the snorkeling adventure. The jeeps are stick shift so make sure you know how to drive one.
The first thing you must know is...
Susan L, Mar 2016
The first thing you must know is that the jeeps are all manual transmissions. Even so, they are old and the shift was difficult even among the other drivers on our tour. The stick itself had a bend in it and the diagram was angled so the driver in our group had a difficult time shifting. It took some time for her to get the hang of it. There are no maps provided and there is no communication from the lead car to any of the jeeps following it. I had hoped there was going to be a radio to provide some commentary as we were driving, but this was not the case. We went to a nature preserve initially then headed to the beach for snorkeling. Those of us who did not snorkel had the use of hammocks under a canopy where we could rest, read, etc. We were given bottled water. We went to an area where there was some shopping available tequila and craft items. The best part of the tour was an authentic Mexican lunch of fish, chicken or port tacos.

The guides were fabulous, friendly and knowledgeable. Although we spotted a nail in the tire of our jeep, they took action immediately and had another jeep within minutes. The weather was not as good as it could have been, but we got to do everything. The lunch was outstanding. I would highly recomed this tour

The Jeep Tour was outstanding. Enjoyed driving a jeep around Cozumel. The lunch was great! Enjoyed seeing an alligator and the 'swamps' and then walking up a lighthouse. The snorkeling was like an afterthought: needed to swim out to the reefs and swim back not much to see however great exercise. Also, the jeeps were old, and some had no seat belts. Otherwise a great adventure!

David and Miguel were wonderful tour guides, and the snorkeling was great. Less cheesy than the cruise line tours. David also makes a fine margarita, and the lunch at El Cid was quite tasty.
