This personalized tour was great. Nayda our guide & Marco the driver made sure we were well informed and comfortable. Every detail was thought of to make sure we had the best experience. The food was fantastic. Trip to Rainbow mountain is a must when you are in Cusco, and booking this tour will most certainly make it a memorable day.

Amazing and unforgettable experience

We had an amazing tour guide Nadaya and so helpful, our driver was Mario and was superb. This is a strenuous trek (17,000 feet above sea level) and it’s the same elevation of the Mount Everest base camp to give you an idea. make sure you eat a good breakfast and they do bring snacks as well. Highly recommend riding horses up and down the mountain and you’ll have a guide leading the horse so you save your energy. It is cold up at the top so bring warm clothes that you can layer in as well. The restaurant after the hike was amazing!

The whole experience was awesome. The tour guide Nayda did a perfect job. She shared a lot of cultural information with the whole group. Even tho the little hiking might be a tough it is worth every penny. The view of all the mountains are beautiful, the roadtrip is also awesome. Our driver was Mario and he did an excellent job to keep us all safe. I recommend this tour %100

A must-see mountain!!

We enjoyed our guided trip to see the Rainbow Mountain. Ronald, our guide, was very knowledgable about all the interesting facts on various regional cultural elements. He was also generous in sharing important and helpful information needed to climb up to 15000 ft. elevations. One suggestion I would offer is to schedule the meal earlier in the day, not at 4:45 pm. It was originally announced for 2:30 pm. So we were left to wait to eat at the end of our trip.

Good tour, but my experience soured at the end

The tour was efficiently organized, the restaurant served delicious food, the ambiance was pleasant, and we took some great photos. However, my experience soured at the end when I tried to leave a tip. Although I intended to give 50 soles, I only had 200 soles and asked for change. The person claimed to only have 40 soles, which left me feeling rushed and confused when we stopped on the street. In the end, I reluctantly handed over my cash, although I doubted she really had that little change, especially considering that 160 soles is a significant amount for a young solo traveler.

Great tour company

Would definitely recommend. Wonderful guide and very professional driver. It’s a private tour so you don’t have to leave at 4am in a large bus and overall felt safer being in a car than a van for the drive through the mountains. I forgot my cell phone in the driver’s car and he was so kind to walk over to my hotel later the same evening to drop it off, as I was flying out the next morning. Thank you again.

Best tour for Rainbow Mountain

This was such a great tour since it started later than all the rest. Nayda our tour guide was sweet, knowledgable and tended to all our specific needs. This tour enabled us to wake up later, have breakfast, and go to rainbow mountain without any crowds. As we were going up to the mountain tons of people were leaving, we had the mountain almost completely to ourselves. Would highly recommend.

Late Start is the way to go

The 8am start is a must!!! When we arrived at Rainbow Mountain it was very busy & as we were walking up it was very busy but the best part was when we reached the summit our group were pretty much the only ones left there! Our tour guide Nadia did an amazing job explaining details about the communities we passed thru & told us about Peruvian history. Our driver Thomas did a great job navigating the back roads to the mountain!

Great tour and flexible tour company!

Everything was perfect! Nayda was our guide and Hugo our driver. They were both fantastic. We had to change the date of the tour because we couldn’t make it to Cusco on time due to disruptions in Machu Picchu and they were very accommodating and allowed us to change the date without any issues. Highly recommend this tour if you want to avoid an early rise! We got to the top of the mountain by midday and it was very sunny (while early in the morning it had been raining and snowing)

Live it, but it’s very difficult

Beautiful, breath taking, unbelievable! This however, is an extremely difficult adventure. From where the van arrives to the top of the peak where the best view of the rainbow mountain can be seen is a long long long hike. At 16,000+ feet it is not an easy hike. At last minute we were given the option to rent a horse for 70soles to take us up and it turned out to be the best decision we made. It took 15-20 to get there being pulled on a horses mostly up hill. Then after the horse drops you off the hike to the peak seems unreal and unrealistic. Truly breath taking, I mean you will be gasping for air. Come prepared, bring extra cash to rent a horse, you’ll thank me. You will also need to pay 5 soles per person at the native check point and another 20 soles per person to enter the park. Bring small bills! I recommended it heartedly and Peru Private Tours did a great job, but you have been warned!!! ツ

Don’t bring your small kid to a group activity to that altitude!!!

Our tour guide and driver were both really good. The communication up front and lunch was also great. Overall i liked the experience however there should be an age limitation. I was very unfortunate to be in a small group with a couple and their 2 years old baby. Don’t know what they were thinking when they brought such a small kid to that altitude. As expected, the baby couldn’t handle it so the couple had to take turns to go up the mountain and i had to wait for a very extended time up at 5500m. I was completely fine for a while but because i had to stay there for so long because of this couple and their baby, my altitude sickness kicked in and had a horrible rest of the day. Basically this couple ruined my entire experience. I struggle to understand how can they be so selfish to bring a 2 years old to a group activity. I simply did not sign up for this and im still so angry at them. Tours should not allow parents to bring their small kids. This should be a grown up activity. Why do i have to spend my whole day with a baby???? Overall, i had a bad experience but not fair to give bad rate to the tour guide as he was really good.

Phenomenal day trip

I had an amazing time going to rainbow mountain with our guide Naydi. She was kind, knowledgeable, accommodating, and clearly wanted to make it a great experience for us. I really appreciated how on several occasions, she would tell us about the towns that we were driving through and also taught us a bit about Andean culture. Everything was expertly planned including the food, organizing the horses/motorcycles, and mountain logistics, and we got great photos as well from Naydi when most of the tourists who did the 4am departures had already left. Rainbow mountain and the surrounding areas were far and away the most beautiful nature that I've personally experienced. Highly highly recommend this tour.

Awesome Rainbow Mountain Tour

The day trip to Rainbow Mountain was excellent - and what’s best is that the pick up was at 7:30, allowing us to have proper breakfast at the hotel. The guide, Ronald, and the driver, Marlito, were great. It started with Ronald helping my wife to check her blood oxygen with his oximeter. He explained histories and places along the way. Just enough - not too much. He kept our spirit high during the hike and took a lot of pictures. Lunch was good quality and the group size is small, which we loved. I highly recommend this tour (8 am pick up) and you will be lucky if Ronald is your tour guide. Thanks so much!
