incredible guide and plenty of highlights
Dennis_P, Feb 2023
This was the 2nd tour we took with LetzGo City Tours. Our first was the Dublin Top 10 Highlights and Guinness Storehouse which fantastic. This tour was equally as good with an incredible guide and plenty of highlights and excitement not to mention one of the best whiskey cocktails I have ever tasted. Well worth the money.
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Hi Dennis, thank you for your 5-star review of our tour and for your expert local friendly guide. We look forward to seeing you again in one of our other European cities including London, Oxford and Edinburgh. Best Regards,
Best of both worlds
Aileen_P, Feb 2023
Wow! What a tour. We found this tour to be the best of both worlds in that we were immersed in the extraordinary history of Ireland while visiting the must-see St Patrick’s Cathedral and its amazing collection of highlights. Our guide John was wonderful and knew his stuff and was such a gifted storyteller. His accent was truly delightful and his love and passion for Ireland was truly delightful.
Response from Host, Feb 2023
Hi, Aileen thank you for your 5-star review. We are delighted that you enjoyed both the tour and your local expert guide while on our extraordinary tour of St Patricks Cathedral combined with a visit to Dublin's oldest Whiskey Distillery. Our local expert guides are dedicated to showcasing Dublin's top highlights and immersing our tour guests in our culture and history. Of course, we couldn't forget an immersion in our famed Whiskey heritage. With our Skip the Line tickets you avoid long lines so I am sure that also added to your overall 5-star review. We look forward to seeing you again on one of our award-winning tours. Best Regards from the team
History and fun in the Whiskey Triangle of Dublin
Peggy_H, Feb 2023
My husband and I were looking for a tour that offered a historical immersion but that would also offer some great fun while at the same time immersing us in Irish culture. The 2nd part of this tour did exactly that when we visited Teeling’s Distillery located in the Whiskey Triangle of Dublin. The tour was fascinating and educational but above all, great fun. We learnt all about the Whiskey Industry in Ireland since medieval times as well as sampling some of their best whiskey as well as an invitation to a Whiskey Cocktail. The cocktail was so nice that I am going to include it in my list of favorites. All in all, this tour offered a great morning’s sightseeing. I would highly recommend this tour as it covered so many interesting aspects of Irish life, history and culture. This was our first tour while in Ireland and was a great choice.
Response from Host, Feb 2023
Hi Peggy, thank you so much for your 5-star review of one of the must-see historical St Patrick's Cathedral dating back to 1191 as well as the location where St Patrick himself in the 5th century conducted the first Christian burials on the island of Ireland. We agree with your review of Teelings Whiskey Distillery. Our staff loves the cocktails at Teelings Distillery. Whiskey making and entrepreneurship have been in the Teeling genes as far back as 1782, when Walter Teeling set up a small craft distillery on Marrowbone Lane in medieval Dublin. They definitely know how to not only make great whiskey but Whiskey cocktails too. I am sure that actually seeing te 3 Distillation process that Ireland is famous for was a huge highlight! Again, thank you for your 5-star review.
Amazing

The Cathedral was beautiful. The stories were great. The Castle was awesome. The guide very knowledgeable
Response from Host, Sep 2021
Susan, thank you for your 5-star review or our fully guided tour of St Patricks Cathedral and Gardens. The Cathedral is spectacular but seeing it with a guide is truly extraordinary as you really find out the stories connected to its original which really dates back to the 5th century so having a guide like Nathan is extraordinary. Nathan is known for his incredible storytelling and passion for everything to do with history as well as having a passion for St Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. We really look forward to seeing you on tour again in one of our other European cities including London, Belfast, Edinburgh, Malaga, Paris, and Amsterdam. Best Regards,
Highly recommend

We enjoyed our tour but it was a bit too long for our 13 year old’s interest. The cathedral is beautiful and has great history.

Charles B, Sep 2017
This is an excellent tour to do if you are new to Dublin. Our guide did an excellent job maneuvering our group and providing some historical highlights of the sites we visited. I wish that the tour included the Book of Kells however but it had gone beyond the allocated time already. St. Patrick's was very interesting as well as the tour of Trinity College. We really enjoyed getting to know the city center and our guide provided excellent commentary along the way. Many thanks - it was wonderful!

Our tour guide Brian skillfully...
theharrows, Sep 2017
Our tour guide Brian skillfully shepherded his group from the chaotic area in front of Trinity College, through the streets of Dublin, down to the lovely park in front of St. Patrick's Cathedral. He stopped several times along the route to point out sights, especially those with historical or architectural significance. Most of the tour was spent inside St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Brian provided extensive commentary on the many things to see within the church. Finally, he led us a few blocks down the street to the historic Dublin Castle. Brian was incredibly enthusiastic about the history of Dublin and of Ireland, talking about Vikings and Normans and Scottish lords, not to mention the Irish independence movement. In fact, he extended the time of the tour by at least 45 minutes. All in all, an excellent excursion.

The entire group loved this guide...
AKASupahighway, Sep 2017
The entire group loved this guide sorry, forgotten name. He was professional, witty, funny, excessively knowledgeable with very entertaining stories. On some tours you may feel they are dragging out but this tour was entertaining and so informative history wise, we didn't notice the hours slipping by. Guide was exceptionally passionate, encouraged questions and gave us all a challenge to ask a question they did not know the answer to, there was only 1 question from our group of 6 and trust us, there were many questions asked to which the guy knew the answers to, quite amazing really i.e. the guides knowledge and how they went about telling the historical stories. Don't miss this tour, thoroughly enjoyable.

Our Tour guide was Brian and he was perfect. He was Punctual and moved along at our pace. The tour was a perfect introduction to Dublin on our first day in town. We were also fortunate to be the only couple on the tour. This did not appear to dissuade our tour guide from doing his best. Throughout almost every step of the tour, Brian volunteered information in large qty's for the tours main attractions down to tid-bits on architecture, local shops, and even the history of the post boxes! We were very tired having arrived that morning, but could not have pictured a better way to kick off our trip.

Our guide was Neil. Great tour lots of history interwoven with walking through the city. Small group made it more personal too. St. Pats got a special behinds the scenes that was much appreciated. If you take this one you'll be happy with it and finish with a richer knowledge base of Irish history.

Robert W, Jul 2017
Our tour guide was Brian. By a stroke of pure luck, my wife and I were the only ones on the tour that day. We started off on the grounds of Trinity College, Dublin where he told us about the history of the college and some interesting stories regarding it's history. We took a leisurely walk over to St. Patrick's Cathedral on the way he gave us a running history of everything we passed and how it fit in to the larger story of a very rich Irish history. We even made a few unscheduled stops along the way so that he could show us interesting things about the area that were not officially on the tour. He was very knowledgeable about the history of St. Pat's, gave us plenty of time on our own to take pictures and explore on our own. My wife had to leave half way through the tour of St. Pat's so, incredibly, I had Brian all to myself for the rest of the afternoon at Dublin Castle. He told me the history of Ireland's multiple invasions by Viking's, Celts, etc. He told me how Dublin got its name that Bram Stoker was a Dubliner I had no idea!. He was great. I highly recommend this tour you will have an amazing time. I am looking forward to coming back to Dublin I've decided it's my new favorite city in Europe. The food was incredible Brian made some great recommendations for restaurants we tried them all, the people are incredibly nice and I swear every one has kissed the Blarney Stone because they are all friendly and garrulous. Book this tour you'll love it.

Betsy H, Jun 2017
Very long walk, a 15 minute sit down in the middle would have been nice since all the walking surfaces were hard ones. Guide was very knowledgeable but perhaps 2 shorter tours - Dublin Castle with admission and St. Patrick's would have been better. I found it too much packed into 1 tour.
