Overview

Take a break from the city and head into the Scottish Highlands for a taste of Scotch whiskies often missed by visitors. In addition to navigating, your guide acts as designated driver so that you can fully enjoy the tastings. Between distillery visits, break up the day with a midday stop to explore Aberfeldy. Round-trip transport from Edinburgh is included for your convenience.

Please Note: On April 30th and March 18th Glenturret Distillery will be closed. Instead this tour will visit Blair Athol Distillery. The prices for this are £14.50 per adult, £8.50 per child (8 and over)

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Andrew J. Is the best one to do this with. Awesome experience. Our tour guide / driver (Andrew) was fantastic. He told us great stories and history of places as we drove through many great sites and places. Kept us well entertained. The distilleries were all fantastic and guides there were very informative.

I would recommend this trip to any first time visitor to Scotland. Our guide, GARY, was very knowledable about the countryside as well as sharing a lot on information about Scottish culture. We needed extra time at the stops due to disabilities and he was very accomadating.

A Day in the Scottish Countryside

!. Andy T. was a fantastic tour guide- very kind, friendly, knowledgable, and flexible. I so enjoyed his professionalism, entertaining stories, and genuine interest in making it a great day filled with learning about Scotland and whiskey! He did your company proud!! The tour was a great chance to get into the Highlands, learn about Scotch, and have a pleasant lunch on our own in a beautiful town. The tour was small (16 ) with a comfortable bus, and lots of great commentary from Andy T. So enjoyed the whole experience!

A tour of Scotland, not a whisky tour

This probably isn’t what you’re looking for if you really want to try a lot of whisky’s. The tour is about 10hrs, but what you’re really paying for is a scenic drive through Scotland, given you only visit two distilleries in that time, and the cost of the tastings isn’t included in the tour price. Our group spent most of the time snoozing on the bus! The whisky we tasted was nice, and so were the hosts but overall it didn’t feel like value for money.

Scots' scotch whiskey in the Highlands

Peter was our tour guide who I'm glad to say came back from retirement to lead this motley group. His insightful comments on the regions and places we drove through with Scotland's historical significance helped to appreciate where we were and what we were seeing. He went out of the way to show that to us and that made the tour that much more meaningful. Both the Dewars and Glenturret facilities, pre-reserved provided tour by the local staffs (with only the need to pay for the tours at the distillery about 15 GBP) and Scotch Whiskey tastings were excellent. The Dewars museum was well put together and the Glenturret that was recently acquired by Lalique was full of plush and glitz. Recommend the 3 Lemons for lunch in Aberfeldy.

Great whisky tour

We have an amazing time and the tour guide Scuff was so entertaining and so nice. We visited 2 distillery and both were good and we especially enjoyed tastings pairing with dark chocolate at Dewar distillery. The best tour we had in Scotland.

Very enjoyable experience. Our tour guide Jim was personable, knowledgeable and funny! He also included music and the right amount of silence to enjoy the view. And what countryside views there were! The tours of the distilleries were good; however, admission was not included in the tour price, and they were too similar to each other; I wish they were more differentiated. Also would have liked the option to pay for a better whiskey flight at each location, instead of the two or three small options offered. Overall, a well-spent day.

Great Experience

My husband and I went on the whiskey experience with Eric as our guide. Eric was awesome, and very helpful. He made the trip very enjoyable. We really loved the scenery in between the distilleries. The group was small, and the coach was very clean and comfortable. Most of the group preferred the Dewar’s distillery, but I preferred Glenturret. Glenturret had a very niche atmosphere, and the staff seemed very passionate about their product. Also Glenturret has cats— which made it that much better.

Terrible experience, almost a scam amho

I have been canceled last minute for no reason. All my friends stayed with me and we had not gone on the tour. Its very hard for them to obtain their money back. Terrible organisation, terrible service

However, in the unlikely circumstances we cancel a tour then we always offer an alternative date or a refund. We would only cancel a tour if we felt the conditions to be unsafe or a severe weather warning had been.
