Overview

Go deep into Big Cypress National Preserve on a small-group wet walk led by a Florida Master Naturalist, then take an hour-and-20 minutes long boat trip through the Ten Thousand Islands of Everglades National Park. With a naturalist guide you will identify plants and animals throughout the day, you’ll watch for rare orchids, bromeliads, manatees, dolphins, and the many birds that thrive in Florida’s vast swamps. Also embark on a 1-hour air boat trip way out in the real Everglades, with stops at Native American tree island villages. Lunch and other eco and cultural experiences are also included. The full-day tour includes transport from greater Fort Lauderdale and Miami, making it a great way to explore Florida’s fascinating ecosystems even with limited time.

Wild Lime Adventures will pick up at hotels and vacation rentals and other locations in many Miami, Hollywood, and Ft. Lauderdale areas and neighborhoods. We also pick up from Port Miami .Wild Lime Adventures can drop off at Port Miami and Port Everglades. We can store your luggage on the van throughout the tour! We can drop off at Miami Airport and Ft. Lauderdale Airport. We can provide a convenient meet up location for anyone coming from outside our pick up areas, including those coming from the Keys, Homestead, and other south Miami-Dade County locations. You can also easily do this tour if coming from the West Coast of Florida (Marco Island, Fort Myers and Naples). We can provide a convenient meet up location for those coming from north or west of our pick up range in Ft. Lauderdale. For shared tours, we may not be able to pick up north of Sunrise Blvd. or west of I-95 in Ft. Lauderdale. We provide free luggage stowage. Some guests may decide to be dropped off at the airport, cruise port, or at a different location or hotel at the conclusion of the tour. There is no extra charge for this service, as long as it is within our transportation zone. We assume that guests will be returning to the same pick up or meet up location at the end of the tour unless they make other arrangements with us ahead of time. We are usually able to provide a broader range of transportation for private tours. The standard pick up time is about 7:15 or 7:30 a.m. However, we will message you the afternoon before the tour to provide you with the exact pick up time. This time will typically be a 10 minute window of time. Please be ready prior to that pick up window. If you book this directlty with Wild Lime Adventures on our website, you will receive a discount!

Zac was absolutely amazing with his knowledge and obvious love for nature. He was a fountain of information and his energy was contagious. We enjoyed two boat rides exploring different areas, a great lunch and an interesting wet (not really) walk. Saw a lot of wildlife (dolphins, rays, turtle, spoonbills, herons, raptors, gators, and so much more!) and some incredible flora. We had a different driver on the way back (Ryan) who was equally amazing with his knowledge and love of the area. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Excellent Everglade Experience

My husband and I signed up for the full day package. Excellent experience on the air boat tour looking for the alligators and finding many along the ride with turtles (if you look hard) and lots of native birds for your viewing pleasure. The afternoon passenger boat ride equally as wonderful locating the dolphins and filming them riding our motor’s waves. Also lucky to see a group of the large white pelicans and the sometimes hard to find roseate spoonbill; a real treat. The wet walk was the only disappointing part of the full day tour. Just too muddy a trail and hard to maneuver without getting stuck or falling in (for a few) consider yourself warned. Would do a dry walk next time. The lunch and snacks/drinks provided were very good. Tour guides were fantastic and knowledgeable. A few stops along the way offer extra restrooms, gift shops and museum access for a quick peek. We also appreciate the shuttle pick up service and access to water shoes and walking poles but would recommend bringing your own water footwear for comfort and appropriate size. Proper Water shoes work best not sandal type for the wet walk. Thanks so much Wild Lime Adventures for a wonderful (bucket list) trip we will never forget.

We have switched this wet walk trail to a few other locations that are not muddy at all, and it's made all the difference. Sorry it was that way for you that day. This adventure was so much fun. We learned a lot and were taken places we would not have ventured on our own. Our guide, Zach, was enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge of wildlife, plant life, local history and more. After learning our specific interest in birding, he made a point to include more opportunities for sightings.

My girlfriend and I booked this tour and due to dryness switched it to the regular Everglades Adventure. I put regular in quotes because this tour has been anything but regular. Ben was a terrific and knowledgable guide and the tour surpassed our expectations. Highlights were the boat tour in the Ten Thousand Islands region and the amazing wildlife we got to see up close. A lot of beautiful birds, alligators and even a dolphin were amongst our encounters. Lunch was also very delicious at this nice local cafe and most of all the tour was educational and fun and it was great getting to know our terrific and easy going tour guide. We would gladly choose Wild Lime Adventures again and highly recommend it to everybody visiting the area!
