Our driver Jose was waiting for us on time, he was very kind and stopped for food and drinks. He drove safely and took out the stress from waiting for a shuttle bus, which would add an extra long commute. Couldn’t recommend more!!!

Just letting people who come from a different country this was safe and I did it solo. Driver took me from Guatemala City to Panajachel. We stopped for fruit and I took a nap otw got there safely.

Our driver was nice and waited for us since our flight was delayed. However, she was slow and we felt our trip was extended longer because of her driving. It would have been better to just take the shuttle and not spend the amount of money that we did. Additionally, she at one point started facetiming while driving. I would not recommend a private drive if I can do it for a tenth of the price in a shared shuttle.

The roads between Guatemala City and Panajachel are narrow and curvy, and require slow driving speeds (the trip usually takes 3.5 hours without traffic), however, that being said, there is NO excuse that your driver was using her phone while driving, and for that, we are incredibly sorry. We wish we had the opportunity to rectify this situation with you prior to your departure from Guatemala, but thank you for your honest review.
