This was an awesome half day tour for a family. Our guide, Dana made it excellent. She was really knowledgeable, funny and answered all of our questions. We’re traveling with kids (ages 9 and 12) and Dana adapted content to suit them and engaged them. The only part that didn’t suit us was the shooting range, it was quite loud which the kids didn’t enjoy. Find some shade away from the noise.

Definitely an over rated tour. Although very interesting and our guide was excellent and spoke great English. To travel 2 hrs each way just to basically just crawl through a tunnel on your hands & knees. Seeing the traps & how they work was good but to me I'd have spent my money & time doing something else had I know a little more about this tour.

After being picked up from our hotel, en-route to the tunnels, we were given a brief lesson about the history of the Vietnam war. Our guide, Slim Jim was charming, funny, and super knowledgeable--what a guy! On the way we took a small detour, stopping at a Lacquerware workshop where we received a private tour of the facility, met some of the artists, and got to see first-hand how the pieces are made by hand. At the end of the tour we were given the opportunity to purchase some Lacquerware, which we did! Once we got to the tunnels Jim showed us around, explaining their historical significance and how they fit into the wider context of the war. We got to see demonstrations of the various traps used by the soldiers and we even got to experience the tunnels themselves. Overall this was a great experience, and we couldn't have asked for a better guide.

Cu chi tunnels are a must see in Ho Chi Minh. We had the knowledgeable, personable, funny Dana as our guide which made the trip perfect as we were informed about the history and told about the subsequent wars which we weren’t too aware about. Small tours are much better as you can go quicker. Asiana your have lots of other tours too which we have now booked so we can see more of this fascinating city.

Small private tour - great time had

The tour was informative and educational. Our tour guide, Sam, was brilliant. Shared many historical facts and was knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the tour. We opted for a private tour (we are a party of 6), so had our own tour minibus. We saw larger groups on buses. Also with a private small group tour we felt like we got to learn much more from our tour guide. For anyone over 6ft or slightly robust, be aware that the tunnels may not an option purely as they are quite compact. Nevertheless a wonderful and highly recommended day out. The entire facility is fascinating, with shooting a gun at a range also an added option.

Brilliant tour made better by tour guide Thong!

We had an amazing tour with Thong! He was an incredible tour guide and explained all the history of the war to us on the way to the tunnels. The tour was very interesting and made even better with Thongs banter and knowledge of Cockney rhyming slang! We had the opportunity to shoot some guns as well which was an interesting experience if you’ve never done it before. The end of the tour is watching a film about the war that is from the 1960’s and very geared towards the Americans so I wouldn’t watch it if you can, it’s not very good and is half an hour long. The tunnels were really interesting but it was all made better by our tour guide Thong, he is the best tour guide I have ever had. He deserves to be doing more tours (he told us he is only being given 2 a week by his company).

We enjoyed the tour and our guide gave us lots of information about the war and Vietnamese life in general. We also enjoyed stopping at a handicap centre where they produce the most amazing artwork.
