Overview

Experience your very own James Bond-inspired adventure on this full-day tour of Phang Nga Bay from Krabi. Cruise to the Khao Phing Kan islands by longtail or speed boat, then switch to a kayak to explore the caves and beaches of Thalu Island and Khao Phing Kan. Get picked up from your hotel in Ao Nang, Krabi Town, Ao Nam Mao, Klong Muang and Tub Kaek Beach. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed by email after you have made the booking. If you stay at Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas, please take the hotel shuttle boat to Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang. If you stay at Railay Beach, we offer a pickup service from the boat ticket office at Ao Nam Mao Pier which is just a 15-minute longtail boat ride from Railay East. If you stay in Ton Sai, please come to the meeting point at Phra Nang Inn reception in Ao Nang. What To Expect

Go island hopping in Phang Nga Bay and visit an island made famous by a James Bond movie on this full-day tour from Krabi. Visit multiple islands with ease, with round-trip transfers, lunch and refreshments, national park fees, and insurance all included.

Get picked up in the morning from your Krabi area accommodations by air-conditioned vehicle and head to Surakul Pier to board a large longtail boat to Phang Nga Bay.

Explore James Bond Island, made famous by the movie, “”The Man with the Golden Gun.”” At the next stop, Thalu Island, go for an optional guided kayak tour through mangroves and caves. Break for lunch at Panyee Floating Village, with free time to explore afterwards.

After returning to Surakul Pier, travel by land to the Monkey Cave Temple for a short visit, then continue on to Raman Waterfalls. End the tour with drop-off at your Krabi accommodations.

Not my best experience

While to your was as it was explained I was disappointed by the overwhelming amount of people at James Bond island it would have been nicer to visit a less populated location, the number of traders reduce people interacting as it’s all the same. The waterfalls may be beautiful in season but out of season just let the local children enjoy there swimming ponds. This should to take of the trip out of season

More time in transfers than in the sightseeing (4 h in transfers). The car arrived 15' late to pick us up (not a problem), after 30' driving he stopped 10' to put petrol and 20' break! (nobody needed this break), after 1h30 driving you arrived at the peer. We were 52 people in the long tail boat with only 1 guide! The guide was very good but he could not cope with so many people as he had also to help with the boat when reaching the sights. We stopped at James Bond island only 45', not enough as it is an overcrowded place, you have to queue for every single picture of the nice spots. Not recommended for people who are not fit as you have to "jump" to get into the boat, the peers are high and the tide is low, therefore not easy to get into the boat. The stop in the floating village for lunch was ok but it could have been longer. The best and highlight of this excursion was the 35' trip on the canoe to visit the caves, guides were extra. Lot of time to visit the Monkey temple on the road back. Conclusion: if you are interested in the James Bond island, this tour is not for you. But for the canoe, temple, village, it was ok.

Great day but communication prior to trip poor

This was a great day and we saw a lot in one trip. The longtail boat was a great experience and the scenery was beautiful. The kayak to the caves was good but a little scary at times as the sea was choppy and you had to lie down in the kayak to get into the caves! I didn't know the James Bond film the island was used in but it was pretty nonetheless although crowded. The negatives were that communication prior to getting to the boat was poor. It was not advised in the description that it's a 1hr trip from Ao Nang to the pier and as I was collected first in Krabi and there were lots of pick ups it was 2.5hrs in the van before the day even started. This was a really long drive first thing in the morning when you're not expecting it. Additionally as the driver didn't speak English, we never knew what was going on, and the van kept making stops with no explanation. The staff communication was really poor and definitely something the company needs to work on. Monkey Cave was a bit of a waste of time and could be left out - there were no monkeys and not much to see! All in all I would recommend this trip as a way to see Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island.

Good but bit of a bun fight

Got a lot for your money in way of different places to visit. However it was a bit of a bun fight with 44 guests to 1 guide. Didn’t get to know anything about the places we went.

Fun trip, very poor booking process and customer service follow up

The actual trip itself was fun, however the booking process was very poor. We booked and paid in full for the trip well over two months in advance, and at the time it was only half full. We received a notice a couple of days before the trip that they were canceling our booking because the trip was overbooked. When we called to confirm the trip 24 hours prior with our hotel info for pick up, , we were told the trip was not running at all because it was New Year’s Day, and was a holiday and we needed to reschedule instead we canceled something else to go on this trip 2 days later. One of the tour operators told us indeed the trip we were originally on was NOT canceled. So we now know you just overbooked and randomly bumped us twice even though we booked in advance. Very disappointing customer service.

This was a great tour! I enjoyed that it was full of so many surprises! Started out on a long tail boat where I had an excellent guide. The water and rock cliffs were breathtaking. Then exploring James Bond Island on foot and swimming. Followed by lunch, Monkey temple with feeding the monkeys, and then a beautiful waterfall. Lots to see and do with an amazing staff. Thank you!!

It was a fantastic experience. The places are beautiful and breathtaking, however, we expected more explanations from the guide, for instance in the place we stayed for having lunch or in the temple of the monkey. Then, in the last stop, a gourgeus waterfall, it was maybe because we were exhausted and we had just took a couple of photos, have a snack and the group told to the guide to go back to our hotels. Apart from that, I would recommend this experience to anyone who have enough time and want to be the hole day exploring, it worth it.

James Bond island was fun and a cool experience if you’re a Bond fan. And the scenery is beatifull. There are a lot of people so 1 hour there is plenty. The kajaking was a nice change of scenery, and our guide was really good. The floating city was really cool! The cave was worth it, nice place. The waterfall at the end was unneccecary. Not to impressed. Other than that a great trip all in all.

However, I think it's still worth seeing, especially if you're not familiar with Thai waterfalls. Overall, I think your review is fair and accurate. The James Bond Island tour is a great way to see some of the most beautiful scenery in Thailand. It's also a lot of fun, and the kayaking and floating city are definitely worth doing. If you're not a fan of waterfalls, you can always skip the last stop. Thanks again for your review!

Good day trip. Picked up at the time given. However when booking it was not explained that there would be a 2 hours minivan journey from Ao Nang before we reached the longboat. Good photo opportunities at ‘James Bond Island’, although was very crowded. Canoeing around an island through caves was good, although again it wasn’t explained that we would not be doing the canoeing but would be chauffeured. Meal provided was excellent but could have done with more time to look around the floating island. Not really keen on the add ons on the return journey that again we were not expecting. The monkey temple was ok but felt the waterfall with no water was a waste of time. Think we all would have preferred to go straight back to our hotels after a long day.
