What To Expect

Visit seven islands off the coast of Krabi, and experience snorkeling, sunset, and bioluminescence with this small-group tour with an English speaking guide. All activities are dependent on the weather and conditions.

Get picked up from your Krabi or Ao Nang hotel and head to Noppara Thara Pier to board your big longtail boat. The first stop is Ko Ya Wa Sam, where you can snorkel with the provided gear. Next, relax at Poda Island while enjoying the views. Swim and snorkel at Ko Ma Tang Ming and Chicken Island, the next two stops. At Thale Waek, walk along the sand bar connecting Chicken Island and Tup Island, the next stop.

Afterwards, enjoy a buffet dinner while watching the sunset. The last stop on the boat tour will be to view the bioluminescence on the way back to the pier. Enjoy drop-off back at your hotel to end your day.

No sunset

I booked this tour mainly to catch the sunset. The attached photos show that the sunset occurred behind a mountain. I was really disappointed. They also served the food which was not barbecue like the brochure said, at the same time we were supposed to be catching the sunset. Isn't there another island more suitable to watch the sunset?

We were extremely impressed by the staff who made the trip fun and safe. Lots of opportunities to snorkel or just sit back and admire the fabulous scenery. Exceptional value for the money.

Great way to view the islands from a boat. Amazing scenery! We stay at the sand bar for 30 min, snorkel for 45 min, look at chicken island, snorkel again for 45 min, eat dinner at poda island for 2 hours to watch sunset. Then look at the bioluminescence. I would avoid this if you have motion sickness because you will be stuck on the boat until after the last activity. This is one and done type of deal. I recommend if you have not done any island hopping.

Fun afternoon but didn’t do 7 islands…

Lovely day out but did not get to see 7 islands. Probably did around 4? The snorkelling spots were disappointing on the day as visibility was very poor. The island stops were generally very quick (first island onto 20 minutes) Lovely sunset spot but be prepared for the crowd! BBQ dinner was tasty and they had a veggie option. We were told we could get a beer for the sunset which was not the case. We also sat at the front of the boat and were not warned that we would be soaked wet by the time we were at the first island due to the waves splashing in. Further seats back were much drier but people didn’t swap so if your boat is full you may be wet all day. The bioluminescent plankton was a little disappointing as the images show these were vivid but in reality are a lot smaller. Good to do though and most of us went in the water for a couple of minutes for this part.

Worth the price

Boat was bit packed but It's worth the price considering the length and itinerary. Guide speaks good English and was kind & attentive. Some islands are crowded but that's just what they are. Good memories and a good last day trip in Krabi. Dinner buffet saved us after a long and arduous day out in the sea.

Stopped at wonderful beaches and the snorkelling spots were really nice too (one had jellyfish, but the guide showed us which ones were ok to be close to and which ones weren't) Sunset and the bioluminescence were the highlights. Keep in mind the bioluminescence is not like the super blue photos you see on the internet - they're tiny white flashes of light that appear when you move underwater, making you feel like you're in outer space!!! Pro tip: do not seat on the first 2 rows if you don't want to get wet

As a family ,we enjoyed this trip,it follows the itinerary described unlike some other tours we had done . Our only faults where that before departure there is about an hour of waiting around until they organise the groups Unfortunately most of our sea swimming could not be done as there was a lot of sea lice biting,it’s not terrible (like mosquitoe bites) You would need to be careful getting in & out as sometimes ladder was unsecure causing one of the passengers to get a bad cut. All boats congregate at sunset so island is crowded. Apart from that lovely scenery & a great day was had by all

The island views are breathtaking. The guides were very helpful. We had plenty of time to snorkel at 3 separate islands. The highlight was the bioluminescent plankton after dark It is hard to get in and out of the boat if you are not strong.

I thought the actual tour was amazing. So many beautiful stops, the bioluminescent plankton was a highlight. The food was also very good. However I wouldn’t recommend if you are staying in Klong Muang beach area. The tour provider gave us a pick up time that didn’t match what the taxi driver was given and were made to wait nearly an hour in our hotel lobby for our transfer. Then when we arrived at the pier, we had to wait another 45 minutes for the rest of the transfers to arrive. At the end of the trip, there was no transport waiting for us and we had to wait an additional 45 minutes for them to drop everyone else off before coming back to collect us. It was a very long day.

The whole day was fantastic! We had an awesome and attentive guide, made sure we knew exactly what was happening at all times. The views were beautiful! Snorkelling was great, even if visibility wasn’t great due to currents. The plankton were so cool to see! Not what we were expecting but truly an experience to have at least once in your life! Good for a group tour

Tour was fine for a group tour. Boat was filled with 25-30 people. We ended up having to tow one of the boats that broke down but a replacement soon arrived. The guide was nice and helpful. Food was mediocre. Chicken was good. Fish and shrimp were really overcooked. Despite a cloudy start, sunset was spectacular. We were blown away by the bioluminescence. The crew let everyone who wanted to snorkel get in the water.

What a sunset

Our experience with this tour was great. , We booked 2 seats online the night before and arranged to be picked up from our hotel in Krabi We were the last to be picked up by a mini bus with us getting to sit in the front seat with the driver , this gave us the luxury of having air conditioning and music ,but it was a squeeze The other passengers in the back had to endure the ride out to the boat in the roofed but open seated mini bus ( fairly normal transportation for Thailand ) The trip out to the islands , the snorkelling , swimming and sunset were all fabulous It was run well , we never felt like we were hurried along and the sunset with island in the foreground was something really special Dinner on the beach prior to sunset was BBQ with chicken , corn , rice , prawns and boiled vegetables Drink wise you have a choice of tea , coffee , water and soft drinks Once sunset is done we headed back the launching place for the boat , on the way back in the river is where the bioluminescent all takes place , but unfortunately for us rain had fallen only hours earlier and that effects the bioluminescence so we missed out on that Over all great trip ,staff were attentive and cheerful , I would recommend this tour. , keep an eye on the weather to avoid rough seas , high winds etc Hopefully your experience is as good as ours

Good in theory, poorly executed.

We booked this tour as a way to see more of the Krabi area on our last day. The description said no more than 20 people, but our boat was packed with nearly 30. There was little communication of what was happening and where we were going during the tour. It is misleading with 7 islands in the title you do not stop 7 times and some of the stop are less than 5 minutes and yo I don’t get off the boat. On some of the stops we had to trek through waist deep water to get to the beach. It was a very stressful experience.

Fabulous boat trip around the Islands of Krabi snorkling was amazing we found schoals of clown fish the BBQ was fabulous lovely selection of chicken and seafood unfortunately due to the weather the sunset was too overcast but we then stopped to look at the bioluminescent plankton truly fabulous experience would highly recommend our tour guide was fabulous and highly knowledgable

Not exactly what you'd expect

We spent majority of the time on the boats, some sports couldn't snorkel due to wind and waves, some spots couldn't go too close to the reef because of sea urchins, buffet isn't at a restaurant it was pre-prepared food taken to one of the chalets on the island, restrooms were extremely unsanitary and weren't able to see the luminescent plankton because of the full moon. Other than that, it was magical, the guides were great, we got soaked because we sat right in front of the boat which was loads of fun, swimming with fish and snorkeling was awesome, the islands and the sunset was magical and the photos came out amazing!

Little communication

Not anything.like I was expecting or advertised. Granted the weather cannot be controlled. However, the guide made a point of saying how it would be much better than the day before with little wind and rain. First mistake - believing him. Our "7 island" tour turned into three stops as we were unable to visit any more islands due to the high wind and rain. The first island was a small expanse of sand, where we had 1 hour to only swim in one side (tide was too strong) and we're charged 300baht for two ice lollies !! Next stop (last stop).Hong Island . There for an hour waiting for BBQ. One piece of chicken, small spoon of rice, 2 pancake rolls and slice of water melon. Only choice of drink was coca cola - which I don't drink. No sunset. Can't predict clouds. But had to wait for the "sunset" to finish. Journey back was planned to have a stop to see plankton. Pitch black, pouring rain and nothing of any excitement to see. Got absolutely soaked from the wind and rain on journey back. Could only close one side of blinds on long boat . People using life jackets to try to keep off the rain to no avail. Only good point was dropped back directly to hotel for shower and into bed .

It has been an amazing trip in every sense, from organization to the views. You get your moneys worth with all the attractions from snorkeling, through beautiful beaches. At each stop we had more than enough time for everything. Our guid AJ has been really attentive, made sure to showed us all the unique fish, even offered to make footage for us himself when we could not go as deep. Dîner offered was also much better than what we we were offered on previous excursions, both vegeterian and meat options have been delicious with so much you can eat full. Word of advice though I would take some snacks and drinks (they had cooler on thr boat) cause before dinner you will get hungry. Overall if you can decide which island hoping tour to do this one i definitely better option
