      Gion Shijo Station, right outside of Exit 5, in front of Izumo no Okuni Statue. Your guide will be holding an orange board saying "Magical Trip".

    • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
    • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

    Fun night with great ambiance

    Fun tour and environments. The food was a bit disappointing at the second location (first time they said the tour had stopped there) but the atmosphere and company was great. It was nice to get a grasp of the neighborhood.

    Yukari - you were amazing. Thank you for making this tour special. Well worth every penny. People always say, I can just walk around and try different foods. You can, but’s it’s lame. Spend the extra few bucks and hangout with a local at her favorite spots. Will do it again when I come back. Thank you Yukari!

    Yumi was just delightful. Full of knowledge & very sweet. The only thing we were not happy about was the karaoke bar were not honest when we paid separately for our drinks, very disappointing.

    Our tour guide Peco was absolutely amazing. She is passionate about Kyoto customs and traditions as well as about making sure that all members of the tour have a great time. Peco is truly one of the best tour guides ever!

    Our guide was great, no complaints with him! We have done over 25 food tours around the world and felt this one was mediocre on the food front. We went to 3 restaurants and at each we were given a small menu with about 5 drink options and 5 food options. We got to choose 3 form each stop. While this format provided options, we much prefer when the tour gives us the local specialities - that’s why we book food tours rather than going to a restaurant and ordering off the menu. We also thought the value wasn’t there for this experience- we could have dinner and drinks for 1/4 the price of this; so the premium paid is high.

    Kana was fantastic. Full of detailed instruction and encouragement , she made us feel comfortable and confident. And her parting gifts were both personal and thoughtful. Btw, your finished creations will make you proud and the ingredients are so fresh that they will taste delicious. Be advised, you are asked to remove your shoes, walk up stairs to a very nice room for the sushi class. My family all left full, remarking that it was one of our favorite excursions ever.

    Mutsumi was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable and super fun guide, fabtastic night out and gave great recommendation on a whiskey bar i could go to after the tour.

    We had the best experience on our Kyoto bar hopping tour! Our guide, Mimi, was incredibly knowledgeable friendly, and took us to such great spots. We would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Kyoto!!

    Our guide Tomoe was charming and very soliticitous of everyone's needs. She brought us to 3 places that were all very pleasant and fun. Stand out food would be the karaage at the first Izakaya. The tour is well planned because you finish at hip roof top bar with a stunning view of the city for photos. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to get out and enjoy the night life in Kyoto but isn't comfortable enough with the Japanese language to go it alone.
