We LOVED this tour ! Henry our guide was knowledgeable and funny. shared so much with us . Curse him for the hill we went up - but secretly loved the challenge ...
Amazing bike tour

The bike tour was amazing, our guide Yuta is very knowledgeable and was very friendly explaining everything about the route, temples and shrines. The bikes are almost new and very comfortable to ride. Throughly recommend!
A must experience to better feel Kyoto !

Really well balanced between must to see, secret and quiet shrines or temples and very lively information given by a dynamic and fun guide !
Must do!

We loved Mike, our tour guide. He was fun to be with and super informative. He made sure we were safe at all times. He also gave us a great lunch recommendation after the tour was over…highly recommend. Monique - April 2024
Exceptional tour and fabulous guide!

Exceptional guide and tour! Shaun was extremely knowledgeable, personable, engaged and answered our many questions. Aside from the Golden Pavilion, he showed us off the beaten path areas including details of Kyoto houses, oldest district for Geisha, saw a Maiko, beautiful scenic paths, Tea ceremony, rock garden, less touristy templed explained well. Highly recommend this tour!
Fantastic - Fun and Unique

Fantastic experience, we would recommend to anyone. E-biking was a great way to get around the city. Henry, our guide, was very knowledgeable and took us to some truly special places that we would have never know about had we not been on the tour. Those sites ended up being some of our favorites in Kyoto!
Fantastic Tour with Michael

Our guide Michael was extremely knowledgable about all aspects of tour. The Golden Shrine was a highlight for me as well as the Tea Ceremony. The e-bikes were easy to ride and overall a great fun way to spend a morning. Would absolutely recommend!
Excellent!

Sean was our guide. In a word he was fantastic. Learned more from him in a 4 hour bike tour than with a much higher priced full day guide!! He is very energetic and upbeat!!!
Best way to see Kyoto
Carolynne_K, Apr 2024
We biked around the north west part of Kyoto first thing in the morning. The weather was spectacular in early April, and the guide knew the best routes through town to avoid car traffic as much as possible. We learned etiquette for entering and paying respects in shrines and temples, our guide, Henry, knew the best photo op spots, and also showed us some of the less touristy, but highly important areas in Kyoto. Would love to go back for their other bike tours if we had time!
Great way to see Kyoto!

This was one of my favorite activities during my two week trip in Japan. Michael was a great guide, knowledgeable with a great sense of humor to boot. He really showed us why former teachers are the best tour guides! I loved the opportunity to cruise through the side streets of Kyoto and enjoy its charm without the crazy crowds during the cherry blossom season. It was a lovely break from the chaos and one wouldn’t realize you’re there in peak season other than when we walked through the Golden Pavilion (but the view was worth it.) I’d recommend this tour 100%!
Magical day exploring Kyoto with Yuta
Karen_B, Apr 2024
This is one of the best tours we've ever done. When I booked this, I thought we were going to bike to a couple of shrines, see some local streets for a couple of hours but this tour was so much more than we expected. Yuta is a fabulous guide who takes the time to explain exactly what we are seeing and doing, making it very fun and also educational. We biked through city streets as well as tranquil areas that felt amost like counstryside. We also visited a monastery and a sweets shop so felt that we really got to experience Kyoto over an afternoon. I highly recommend this tour with Yuta!

Loved this tour. We experienced a popular attraction and lesser visited spots. Henry was a great guide. He showed us proper etiquette at the shrines, took keepsake photos and shared tons of historical info. He also gave us local lunch recommendations.
Fun and informative bike tour
Edward_Q, Apr 2024
Our e-bike tour with Mike took us round some fantastic spots of Kyoto and it great to see how bike friendly the city was. Given the unpredictable cold weather we were supplied gloves which was a great help especially given that it actually snowed while we were out on the bikes. The power assist of the e-bikes was also great to have on some of the steeper hills! Loved the tour, how informative Mike was during the route, and the tea ceremony we ended with! Would definitely recommend.
Henry was amazing!

Henry was wonderful! We loved all the stops, our favorite was the oldest sweet shop - Ichimonjiya wasuke , the aburimochi & tea was such a treat!
Excellent tour

Kyoto: E-bikes, Geishas, Temples & Shrines, and Traditions
Andrea_R, Mar 2024
This tour was such a fun experience! Yuta, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. For every question we had, he provided an answer. Also, he reiterated and emphasized that safety throughout the tour was paramount. The group really enjoyed participating in the different traditions which ranged from placing intentions at the temples and shrines, meditating at the Zen garden, and enjoying the tea ceremony. The historic information Yuta provided set the backdrop to take-in and understand the different locations we visited. At the end of the tour, Yuta stayed with the group and provided various food recommendations. For two of the participants he even made taxi arrangements to ensure they would arrive to their next tour on time. We would definitely encourage others visiting Kyoto for the first time to book this tour.
Wonderful, fun, easy and informative...

Our favorite tour in Japan!
Vivi_B, Mar 2024
We loved this tour! It was one of our favorite things we did in Japan. Yuta was a fantastic guide - very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. He took us safely along back streets in Kyoto, stopping at points of interest like the geisha district, temples and the Golden Pavilion. He shared the history of each place, and we even saw geisha and make! He knew exactly where to pose us for pictures at each stop and was happy to take them for us. My 14-year-old said it was her favorite part of our trip! Also, the e-bikes are a dream and now we're all spoiled on them! I'm not in shape at all, but they were super easy to use. The power keeps you from working hard, so it's like floating along instead of pumping the pedals. I highly recommend this tour to all levels of fitness! Thanks Yuta!
Excellent cycle tour

Really great tour with Henry. Very enjoyable and informative, he was able to answer all of our questions and showed us some quiet non-touristy spots! Would definitely recommend!
Great time exploring Kyoto
Jeanie_L, Mar 2024
We had a great time exploring Kyoto by bike with Sean. He provided meaningful insight into the history behind the shrines and temples in Kyoto (e.g. the monks knew him well and he could ask them our questions) and he also knew insider info on the best noodle spots. We appreciated his thoughtfulness and consideration to the community as he guided us on this tour (I.e making sure we are not disturbing the locals). Highly recommend this experience!
