Exceptional Tour and Guride

Excellent tour, picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off. Our tour guide was very informative. We learned so much from him that we would of not learned on our own. Highly recommend this tour. The Hoover Dam is amazing.

My family of four had an awesome time on our Hoover dam tour. Our driver, Steve, had a wealth of knowledge. Not just about the dam and Boulder City, but also about the surrounding mountains and valleys, Nevada and it's history, and all things Las Vegas. Pickup and introductions at the Park mgm were easy. All seats were filled, and I got to sit in the cab with Steve, which I preferred. There was a quick drive through Boulder city, seeing the various remaining buildings from the construction of the dam. At the dam it was very busy, Steve said the busiest so far this year. We parked on the Arizona side of the dam and walked back across to the elevator that took us down to the powerhouse tour on the Nevada side. Lot's of pictures and information dispensed along the way. The tour itself is very informative, viewing the rough concrete that forms the dam as well as a penstock and the generators in the power house. After the tour we had a few minutes to visit the observation deck and then head to the gift shop and cafe. The visitor center is currently being rebuilt, so not open. We had thought of renting a car and going on our own. I am so glad we didn't and went on this small group tour instead! It's not the least expensive tour I considered, but it is money well spent! We would definitely use Pink Jeep Adventure Tours again when we're back in Las Vegas!

Terrible experience. Pickup was 1 hour late. Chose this tour for ability to go inside dam but that was closed. Guide gave 2 conflicting reasons why couldn't. Ad said would get alternative special event but not provided. Certainly not worth $260 to walk across top of dam. You should refund tour purchase price!

Sandy, our guide, picked us up promptly at the Venetian. It is a very comfortable van, with only 9 passengers. Sandy is very experienced and knowledable and told us a lot about LV history and history of the damn on the way to the site. The tour is really interesting. I highly recommend it. Ask for Sandy.

Good Dam tour, mediocure driver

Our Hoover Dam tour was not the best. The driver was 20 minutes late in picking us up, and spent most of the trip talking about himself rather than educating us about the area and the Dam. We did not learn much about the Dam from him. Once at the Dam you are given a tour by the Dam staff; not the driver. The tour of the Dam was great. After the tour we drove back to LV and the driver spent most of the time trying to make jokes. They weren't funny and some of them were a bit insulting to the guests. We enjoyed our time at Hoover Dam, but would have preferred a different tour driver.
