    Stonehenge is a once in a lifetime experience. One needs more than the two hours allotted to see all the Stonehenge sites, but still worth it.

    Getting to the bus stop in the morning was easy. The tour information was well communicated and documented. Bring water or snacks as there is nothing on the bus. However, when you arrive the food at the guest service area is really good. We enjoyed our lunch. It was very cold and windy when we were there so we didn’t stay outside long. Seeing the stones was really amazing. The bus driver did a great job providing history when we were departing London and arriving at Stonehenge.

    This was a total scam! We were waiting at the address given for meetup with others on the tour and the bus never came!! We messaged and called the company and they didn’t answer until after the scheduled time of departure. They then made us walk to the Golden Bus Tour company office to find out what happened. When we all got there, the staff lied and said the bus had come and left without us! We showed them pictures of us at the meetup address half an hour before departure and the unanswered messages and they said too bad! No offer of remediation, refund, nothing. There was no bus!!!!! We ended up all taking the train to Stonehenge and salvaging our day (at great expense) after this horrible experience. I have written to Viator for a refund on our tickets and am waiting for a response. Horrible, horrible!!! We woke up early, took Ubers to get to the spot and then spent 2 hours trying to resolve things. The staff at Golden bus Tours were horrid.

    Our driver Jim was great! Informational and funny and really friendly, the coach was comfy and the drive was quick (as it can be) and easy. Being able to walk Stonehenge at our own pace was great, this is a tour for anyone who wants to be in control of their own pace!

    The half-day Stonehenge trip was quite enjoyable. The bus was full but very comfortable. The drive through the countryside gave us a glimpse of life outside of London city. We spent 2 hours viewing the “stones”. Unfortunately our audio tour did not work but we were able to listen to it once we got back to our hotel. So all-in-all we spent more time on the bus (2 hours there and 2 hours back) than at the site. It was still worth going.

    Great way to get to Stonehenge! This isn’t a guided tour, but honestly, you don’t need a guided tour for Stonehenge. There is an app you can download once at the site that has a guided audio tour. If booking this tour, you should download the app ahead of time and bring headphones.

    It was a great time, great driver, very funny. The walk to Stonehenge was very short and nice, the people were friendly and we had more than enough time to view the henge, go to the gift shop and have a coffee.

    The guide of the bus was very friendly and clear about his instructions when to depart, arrive and where the bus would pick us up. With the wristbands we could skip the line for admission because it was included. Perfect trip if you want to wander around by yourself and also have some guidance before and on the way back. Perfect with two seniors as well because of the shuttle service

    Our bus driver was so professional and drove with such care. Stonehenge was amazing. I wish every driver on every tour took such care. This is an unguided tour, but a tour guide is not necessary.

    The 1 hour wait for the Suttle bus to see stones. Only gave us 20 minutes to see the stones. The way back to tour bus was easy.

    The start of our journey to Stonehenge was fraught with misinformation about the meeting point. The tour company, Golden Tours, incorrectly identified the meeting point as 1 Bullied Way and the first bus stop outside of Victoria Station. There are at least six "the first bus stop" outside Victoria Station, so that description is a bit too generic. In addition, the Stonehenge bus was not at 1 Bullied Way, but on a street around the corner. No one at 1 Bullied Way was very knowledgeable about the Stonehenge bus location. When someone did know, she pointed us in the direction. When arriving on the street, there was no Golden Tour labeled bus nor was there a host in sight identified as a Golden Tour employee. Who were there: bus drivers on the curb, all smoking cigarettes. Lo and behold, out of one generic bus pops a young woman with a clipboard and Golden Tours safety vest. Now, why was she not on the sidewalk greeting tour participants and helping them locate the correct bus. Very poor host communication. After about 15 minutes in trying to find the bus, we settled in for a 88 mile ride to Stonehenge and a 90 minute stay, with about 15 minutes relegated to a queue for the shuttle to the Stones and 20 minute lunch. Golden Tours definitely needs to up its game on bus meeting place logistics.

    Who knew seeing a bunch of rocks would be so fascinating..Well worth the trip. Our driver Kirem(sorry, I can't remember how to spell it) was amazing! He showed us and explained landmarks on our journey to stonehenge as well as giving suggestions.

    The only reason I gave it of four-star was that you definitely need three hours to explore and not only two. I definitely love using this site when traveling and finding great deals on local adventures.
