A Must Do
Highly recommend this tour and our guide Julia, who brought us through a fascinating tour of political activist art and modern abstract paintings… she was so knowledgeable and gave us a greater understanding of the art and artists in a very fun afternoon

Fantastic Tour of Tate Modern
Matilda was absolutely fantastic! She has a strong command of all the major works at the Tate Modern as asks excellent questions to get the viewers to think deeper about contemporary art. She was very engaging!

Great way to tour the Tate Modern
We had a very exciting and thought provoking tour given by Julia. We were able to learn more about the art pieces and the artists who creayed them than if we tried to go through the museum alone. We would highly recommend this tour to others.

Becky Made Modern Art Come Alive!
My husband tags along to modern art museums because I like to go. He doesn't necessarily like it. THIS TIME WAS DIFFERENT! Becky's knowledge & style of interacting with us about the paintings made all the difference. I loved it & my husband enjoyed it! Giving us insight into the artist & the phases the artists were going through was incredibly interesting or even the possible intent. We talked about our tour for hours afterwards & still have conversations about what a great experience.

People Also Ask
Q:Can you just walk into Tate Modern?

Q:Can I take a backpack into Tate Modern?
A:That depends on the size. You can take small backpacks into Tate Modern, although you may be asked to carry them in busy exhibitions. Anything larger than 22 inches (55 centimeters) x 16 inches (40 centimeters) x 8 inches (20 centimeters) is not allowed. Waterloo Station has left luggage services.
Q:Is there a queue for the Tate Modern?
A:No. Tate Modern is a large gallery with a wide entrance, and you can generally expect to enjoy the main collection without queuing. You may have to line up awaiting your timed slot for special exhibitions, however, particularly at big-ticket shows with small capacity, such as Yayoi Kusama installations.

A:Tuesdays and Wednesdays are generally the least busy days at Tate Modern, and the gallery is normally quietest soon after opening at 10am.
